“For “Family dog” to go off like that on a known family member is certainly not normal.”
But it happens. This is a big strong man, and the dog tore him up. Imagine if it was a child?
I’m afraid of all dogs, but you are a fool if you are not fearful of pitbulls, etc. Those dogs can kill you if they have a mind, and they can certainly kill a small child easily.
My guess is that most people who are severely injured by dogs are injured by dogs they know. Just like murder by humans.
But it’s certainly not normal as I alluded to which is my point. It appears this was a very aggressive attack on a known family member. I personally would have questions. Did the family dog suddenly and without provocation decide to shred this guys face and arms? That scenario seems a bit odd to me.
I’d like to know what was happening with the dog in the minutes leading up to the attack and if the dog had a history of getting aggressive.
To his ACE? Hmmm, I've never heard of that body part. And they pay this headline writer? Pay the editor? Doesn't anyone proofread?
This time it was my fault, not the editor.
The most well-trained dog I ever met was a Rottie. The trainer at the doggy obedience class we took our rescue to had one. He and all the other Rotties/Rottie mixes I’ve ever met have been big, squishie babies, very sweet and well-mannered. I know a couple of Rotties who are service dogs for a disabled woman.
Heh.
