You know, de minimis, that markets along with their prices “signals” are wonderful things. To the extent that prices of a commodity rise producers will be encouraged to raise production and entrepreneurs will be encouraged to go into the business of producing that commodity.
I’m sure that the Russian people are glad that communism, with its command economy and bleak, largely empty stores has been replaced with a private free-enterprise market economy.
Russia went in the right direction toward freedom in contrast with Western European and American economies transitioning to command economies with central government dictating things such as HOW energy will be produced, what transportation vehicles (e.g., EVs) and who should be hired/promoted.
