The Gen Z college grad who made headlines after tearfully sharing her struggles adjusting to a nine-to-five job on TikTok has recently been laid off with no emergency fund.
Brielle Asero, who lives in New Jersey, revealed that she lost her first post-grad job, a position that took her five months to secure, in a recent video that has garnered over 500,000 views.
'I got laid off from my first post-grad job - the one that took me five months to find, and for which I moved to New York City,' she said, adding that it's not her fault.
The University of South Carolina alum said she doesn't have an emergency fund because 'everything goes toward living expenses, commute, and everything else.'
The layoff comes after she broke down in tears in October, sharing her struggles to find time for a life outside of her four-hour round commute and long workdays.

It just amazes me that people post things like this to the world on social media. I would not want to hire this person for any job - gives the perception it would be all drama, all the time.

We sold out the younger generation! We let the owners of companies to go offshore to get more profits, we let our kids play video games instead of telling them to get a job... We let the government tax our kids like they are breadwinners, we should give them tax credits for working!
Her make up is okay.
Ditch the multiple earrings and ear chain. Take a quarter inch off the nail length and go with a neutral color. It quietly states that you are more focused on Friday night and your MRS than the job.
Also, one ring per hand. Wearing mixed metals and a ring on every finger is a failed attempt to look like you have money. Real money, old money, does not do this. Only rappers, new money, or fakers do. Stop it.
Suck it up. Don’t whine like a baby on Tik Tok. Your commute is miserable? Audio books, listen to podcasts about your career to stay current, learn a new language, catch up with friends on the phone, etc. My commute for a while was typically 1.5 hours one way. If I was stuck in traffic, I would listen to music and practice ASL. Make that boring time productive.
Arrive a little earlier to beat the crush. Leave a little later. Find a gym or a YMCA near your job.
There are ways to make this work. You need a functioning brain, a spine, and initiative. Boo hooing on social media will not advance your career.
But she wasn’t talking about her job. She was talking about her commute.
And what she said has been said by just about everyone working, commuting, and then having little time for their lives. The difference is that she posted it for everyone to see.

I’m a senior citizen trad wife. My regime consists of a drop of wrinkle cream for fine line around my eyes, a drop of a different wrinkle cream for lines around my mouth, moisturizer for my face and neck, two drops of concealer for the dark circles under my eyes (thanks, COVID), lipstick, and a touch of mascara on my upper lashes. Takes two minutes.
I get a kick out of the girls with crazy arched brows, tarantula eyelashes, and 17 layers of construction grade make up slapped on with a trowel. It just screams high maintenance. My husband would run in the other direction if I did that.
Sure there are if you don't mind part time jobs saying "Fries with that?" Look in any IT department and you'll see who's getting most of the tech jobs that haven't been outsourced.
If you supported the free trade deals we made with China, you most certainly did betray our children and Vets by choosing foreign labor over them. Many at FR did support those trade deals.
Republicans largely supported those trade deals with the Chicoms, including Bush and Newt. This was AFTER China stole much of our technology during the Clinton administration.
Granted dems like Clinton, Gore, and Biden also supported those trade deals, which should have told us something.
Canada. If that's not where you're from then just say so. I don't care to know your city, state and zip, so just the country where you're from and where you're currently residing will be fine.

Please post any evidence you have that these vets are unemployed because of outsourcing.
Why do you think our highly trained Vets are unemployed and homeless? Because they're lazy bums with poor work ethics?
Every business in my area is desperately looking for good employees, so I suspect there may be something more than “outsourcing” that’s contributing to the problem you identified.
Where is your area, and are they tech jobs or part time jobs without benefits?

Outsourcing and automation are not new.
No, but a lot of the machines and tools that we do our jobs with are now foreign made.
The government has made it an lsd induced proposition to start a labor intensive business in this country.
So did the American consumer, most of whom chose foreign labor over their own kids and Vets.
Doubling the workforce welcoming in women clearly disproved the lump of labour fallacy.
When it did happen, it increased the purchasing power of most households resulting in more jobs. I don't know what you're trying to prove with that, but that happened long before the late 90s, which is the time when these free trade deals were signed.
