The Gen Z college grad who made headlines after tearfully sharing her struggles adjusting to a nine-to-five job on TikTok has recently been laid off with no emergency fund.
Brielle Asero, who lives in New Jersey, revealed that she lost her first post-grad job, a position that took her five months to secure, in a recent video that has garnered over 500,000 views.
'I got laid off from my first post-grad job - the one that took me five months to find, and for which I moved to New York City,' she said, adding that it's not her fault.
The University of South Carolina alum said she doesn't have an emergency fund because 'everything goes toward living expenses, commute, and everything else.'
The layoff comes after she broke down in tears in October, sharing her struggles to find time for a life outside of her four-hour round commute and long workdays.

Only Fans is calling...
She may have to go back to her natural hair color. Her colorist will be crying then.
That should tell you everything you need to know about her.
LOL!
Another instance of how men are being marginalized...none of US have access to prostitution as a backup income when we get laid off!
“She’s a Ginger for sure hunting for a rich executive to marry her.”
That is tougher in the corporate world these days since the job of “secretary” has mostly disappeared.
In the old days she could have been a secretary and married one of her bosses.
As I have mentioned elsewhere her student debt is a real problem—not for dating but for actually catching a husband.
However I don’t she is husband hunting at this point—probably just wants to party.
By the time she is ready to settle down she will have aged a bit and her SMV (sexual market value) will have dropped a couple of points.
Unfortunately for her the student debt will be busy accruing interest and making her even more of a financial liability.
It is a race against time—and she has absolutely no clue where the racetrack is or how to compete successfully.
Agree. Just had a conversation with my deployed son about the costs of housing and having kids in the U.S. His generation of white males have been demonized and put at the bottom pile for hiring. Many companies treat their employees like crap and wages have been stagnant for years. Policies reward shitty behavior, welfare moms and illegals. The younger generation isn’t inclined to put up with long work hours, commutes, minimal paid time off, etc their parents and grandparents put up with.
Sorry I didn’t betray anyone... lets give credit, and blame, where its due, leftists.
“No generation has been betrayed by their elders as badly as the young generations of today were betrayed by their elders.”
To the extent that they vote, they are betraying themselves and others. I expect most of her friends, likely she herself, voted Democrat in the last election.
At least she’s got some free time now. Does she qualify for unemployment insurance?
Could have done a better job. Although I have seen worse.
I recall as a kid seeing adult women with shaved eyebrows and then colored in the brows. Looked creepy to me as a 10 year old. I see so many women now with eyebrows that don’t follow the shape of natural eyebrows. Ick. Welcome to the cabaret.
So probably not.
NB: I have never lived in New York and their laws may vary.
Giving her a thorough bath would be a good start towards the end goal of a pretty girl.
Ditch the makeup and the whine and if I was 21 I’d give her a roll in the hay.
She could make a ton of dough starting an “Only Fans” website.
Can you say “pole dancer”?
Which country would that be?
I'm sure everyone at FR who opposed the trade deals wasn't a man.
I wouldn’t know, since I only know a few Freepers in person and they are all men.
What about those homeless Vets who are unemployed and killing themselves? Are they also dingbats who would be unemployable even if the jobs weren't outsourced?
Please post any evidence you have that these vets are unemployed because of outsourcing. Every business in my area is desperately looking for good employees, so I suspect there may be something more than “outsourcing” that’s contributing to the problem you identified.
Bitch slapped by karma.
awww one of you old guys step up and be her sugar daddy.
Real world advice:
1. Save the beauty salon fees. Hair back to brown, home-based waxing, manicures, pedicures, & facials. BOOM $500/mo into savings.
2. Skip the daily Vente Chai from Starbuck’s to suck on your commute. Also skip the lunchtime expense of a Chipotle salad or Chinese take-away. Pack a sandwich & fruit and get a travel mug for a make-it-yourself drink. BOOM $550/mo into savings.
3. You can find hooker-style clothes and skimpy lingerie at Ross and Marshalls. Don’t spend extra on designer names at Juicy or Victoria’s Secret. (Seriously, if you don’t have time for a relationship, why the sexy lingerie?) Boom $700/mo into savings.
4. Stop buying the next big $1500 iPhone or $2500 iMac for TikTok. Your old phone takes selfies just fine and a cheap laptop will do vids for you. Spend less on cell and Internet providers if TikTok isn’t paying your expenses plus a nice profit every month. BOOM another $200-$300/mo unto savings.
5. Be honest - how many pairs of designer F*ck-me shoes do you have? Designer handbags to match? BOOM $500/mo easy into savings.
Don’t even get me started on the drawers full of cosmetics, perfumes, & Nexxus hair products you have. Jewelry boxes full? Expenses for Uber, Lyft & Grub Hub?
There’s a whole world of young people out there making half the money you waste every single month. Grow up and take responsibility for your own excess.
