Look for flu and COVID-19 infections to ramp up in the coming weeks, U.S. health officials say, with increases fueled by holiday gatherings, too many unvaccinated people and a new version of the coronavirus that may be spreading more easily.
High levels of flu-like illnesses were reported last week in 17 states — up from 14 the week before, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Friday.
“Folks are traveling a lot more this season. They want to see their families,” said the CDC's Dr. Manisha Patel. "And all of that sort of adds to the mix” in the spread of viruses. Health officials are keeping an eye on a version of the ever-evolving coronavirus, known as JN.1. The omicron variant was first detected in the U.S. in September and now accounts for an estimated 20% of cases. The CDC expects it to reach 50% in the next two weeks, Patel said.

Well, whatever I came down with, I am getting over.
I used to get a flu shot every year.
Now you will only be able to get an mRNA version.
So, no more flu shots for me!

This sounds bad, we really need to protect our brave Public Employee’s and demand they all be Locked Down in their homes for their own protection until the danger has subsided.

Wife’s got the stomach yuck. She’s not sure which end to point at the commode. Grandkid gave it to her.

In other words, COVID is just the flu and the new flu shot will contain Covid vaccine ingredients. No deal! Would rather get the flu and take the four days off to rest. I don’t trust injections anymore.
Day 3 of Covid and I’m finally out of bed, able to walk, kind of, and finally eat something. To me it’s like having a bad flu. I haven’t seen any dancing reindeer, but the dreams have been mind blowing.
Its not BS Covid is real, it could kill you whether you got the flu shot or Covid shot or the pneumonia shot, I know plenty of people who got the Covid shot mostly old people like me who still caught Covid including my 87 year old mother but other than having a cough and fever she did just fine. I don’t know of any folks who died of Covid who took the shot but I do know plenty who didn’t take the shot and died like a EV battery on a cold day. I will never take the Covid shot again but I will take a flu shot.
