The assassination of warlord Yevgeny Prigozhin was 'put in motion' by Vladimir Putin's closest security aide Nikolai Patrushev, it was reported today.
Progozhin - formerly close to Putin and the boss of Wagner private army - died in a plane crash in August, months after he launched a failed coup against the Kremlin.
Now an investigation by The Wall Street Journal says a 'small explosive device' was 'slipped under the wing', and that shadowy ex-FSB security service chief Patrushev, 72, was behind the assassination.
-snip-
The WSJ said the bomb was planted on Prigozhin's Embraer Legacy 600 before it took off with Prigozhin and nine others on board.
The others included his Wagner military commander Dmitry Utkin, 53, and flight attendant Kristina Raspopova, 39, who had revealed to her relatives a mysterious delay in the departure of the flight carrying the warlord.
All were killed when the plane was blown out of the sky at 28,000 feet, some 30 minutes after it left Moscow bound for St Petersburg.

Things are going so bad at the front that neocons have to focus on this twaddle. Sorry that your favorite Russian chose poorly.
Who cares? It’s their business.

I didn’t know that thew WSJ investigative journalists were privy to Russian classified and secret information. They did such a good job in this foreign matter, it’s a shame they couldn’t do a better job in the Russian hoax matter and the J6 Pelosi conspiracy that has ruined so many good people.
This just so-o-o-o like the Clintons and the Obamas. Seems to be quite the "thing."

You sure brought out the trolls in force on this one! They must have had orders from Moscow to crap on any reports of Putin’s ties to yet another cowardly assassination.
So predictable.
Didn’t Clinton do the same to Ron Brown?
Prigozhin to Putin after his feint towards Moscow a few months ago. “We good?”
Putin to Prigozhin. “Sure, we good” and under his breath “but your plane not so much”
Ukraine, with the full consent of the Biden regime, imprisoned Gonzalo Lira, an American citizen, simply for telling the truth about the failed proxy war in Ukraine.
I couldn't care less what it has to happen to you for you to be MADE to care more about abuses by our government than the fantasies you and the British media have about Putin and the Russian government. There isn't anything that could happen to you that would be too severe.
Never ends well when your enemy has your itinerary.
Ron Brown was shot in the head, too. Just to make sure.

A bomb fixed to the wing? Don’t pilots do walk around inspections of the plane before they takeoff? You’d think a pilot would see the bomb during the preflight inspection.

There are inspection plates that are removable for Airframe and Powerplant mechanics to access interior space and components, wherein something could be inserted that would remain undetected by a normal pilot walk around before the flight.
Why Ukraine Won’t Be Able to “Dig In”
- After the defeated 5 month Ukrainian offensive and with admissions in the Western media that Ukraine’s cross-river offensive in Kherson is a failure, a growing number Ukrainian and Western military and political leaders are talking about Ukraine going on the defensive;
- Ukraine seeks to build Russian-style defensives along the line of contact and use 2024 to build up combat power;
- The main problem facing this strategy is that Ukraine has already in many places dug in since as early as 2014 and yet Russia has been able to overpower and displace Ukrainian forces regardless;
- ussia’s successful defeat of the 2023 Ukrainian offensive was owed as much to its superior firepower as it was to the construction of defensive positions;
- While Russia will not be able to conduct “big arrow” offensives without suffering heavy losses for the same reason Ukraine cannot, the existence of mines covered by artillery, FPV drones and other systems that can target Russian forces as they attempt to breach minefields;
- Russia can continue its war of attrition while placing growing pressure all along the line of contact and exploiting anywhere opportunities begin to form;
- Western commentators continue to interpret the conflict in mere 2 dimensions rather than the 4 dimensions actually required to understand Russia’s long-term strategy and why it has worked;
- The 4th dimension being time, it is important to understand what Ukraine’s combat power will look like a year from now following concerted Russian efforts to target and irreversibly diminish specific capabilities (like air defense, artillery, counter battery fire, and military aviation);
Prigo we hardly knew ye! Prigo dead and cancerous Putin soon to follow. Then peace come to Ukraine. Peace comes to Israel as the Russian-Iranian alliance falls apart. Putin gets high on Muslim fairy dust. No one else in Kremlin thinks this perverted Putin way. They are Slav and Christian oriented.
