I always make eggnog for the Christmas party, for after Christmas dinner and at least one other time, generally for tree and decoration assembly the day after Thanksgiving.
Now the stuff you get in the stores can be either delightful or pretty bad depending on the brand but there are a lot of bad cookies out there too. That is no reason to hate on cookies.
I will offer one caveat. For a number of years I worked in a plant where we made eggnog. From late October through the first of January I had to smell the stuff all day every day.
It did put me off of it. And off of anything with nutmeg.
But now I find it enticing again.
