That’ll blow your hair back.
What idiot posts-up in front of the muzzle of a gun, any gun? The author goes on to say that the discharge was “deliberate!” But, not to worry, “concussive impairment” must, already, have existed. What do you think?
She won’t do that again.

Troubling footage: IDF artillery deliberately fired over soldier’s head

She might have been better off standing directly beneath the barrel. Much of the blast is directed sideways.
Define hurt !
If you were sitting in an AA turret on a WW2 ship, the concussion of the big guns could tear at your clothing. Guys ended up near deaf for life.
Looks like something military folks do on dares etc.
The stories the military members of my family tell about the dumb things they would do to kill time and entertain themselves could fill volumes.
A 155 mm howitzer. Looks like she was slightly off to this side, but not nearly far enough.
Having been a shooter for as long as I have, I’ve either fired, or been standing near, some really loud muzzle brakes and caliber of firearms.
Standing THAT close to a brake on a 155... That had to have caused not only a concussion... but most likely the types of over-pressure injuries you see from victims of a bomb blast.
If the IDF statement says “no one was hurt”... I hope that means that her actual injuries were not serious. She was lucky IMO...
Why the hell is she standing there?
That's crazy. Was it under orders?
Artillery crew chief / NCO failure. There is supposed to be a check to make sure that all personnel are not in the danger zone. Looks like that did not happen.
It’s almost like she wanted to experience what it was like to be in the position she was in. Both should face admonishment over the ignorance of the episode.
Yup proved Israel is worse than humus/s
Bookmark for later when I have a good enough signal to pull up the video.
Looks like she was stuned. Doubt she or the guy who pulled the lanyard will do that again.
What a nothing burger this story is.
Tells you how eager the media is to blame the Jews for anything.
Been there…done that! In OCS at Ft. Sill back in the summer of 1967, another candidate and I were running a hot loop around the battery (155mm Towed (Pigs)) while we were told that the battery was “cold”. When we got out in front the the base piece, it let go with a charge five white bag which knock my cohort over and rocked me.
Okay, I was 20 and now at 76, I have VA hearing aids to address the missing frequency band, but shit happens and you have to keep soldiering on.
Stop wrapping everyone in bubble wrap, for God’s sake!
No one the FOUND was hurt.
