The Council on American Islamic Relations held a news conference Tuesday calling for the firing of a doctor at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
CAIR took issue with comments Dr. Darren Klugman made on social media regarding the Israel-Hamas war. The council also wants the Maryland Board of Physicians to revoke his license.
"Dr. Klugman's role requires him to care for all children. His views tell us he views Palestinian children as subhuman. These words reflect hate," CAIR Maryland director Zainab Chaudry.
Chaudry is has come under fire for her own social media posts. She was temporarily suspended from the Commission on Hate Crime Response and Prevention.
"I categorically and unequivocally reject any allegations of antisemitism," she said.
Some are standing by Klugman. An online petition has thousands of signatures. The petition says, "Dr. Klugman posted several strongly worded tweets on Oct. 7 and 8," when Hamas attacks in Israel were still ongoing.
Klugman is currently on administrative leave from his duties as director of the Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Unit at Hopkins.
"I am appalled that Johns Hopkins would employ such an individual," one woman said.
The woman, who did not share her name, is the mother of a 14-month-old boy with a congenital heart condition. She said she isn't sure if Klugman has had any contact with her son, but she knows it is a possibility. She said she will no longer seek care at the hospital as long as he is employed there.
"As a parent, I want the very best medical care for my baby which is why we chose Hopkins in the first place. On top of those fears of what could go wrong during his surgery, to know that Hopkins is knowingly employing a doctor who has such hateful and radical views about an entire group of people brings doubts to my mind about their ability to give my child the very best care possible," she said.
Johns Hopkins Medicine released a statement Tuesday afternoon, saying in part, "The faculty member who made these statements has been placed on leave (and thus will have no interaction with students or patients) while we conduct a thorough investigation under our policies and procedures.
"Johns Hopkins Medicine and Johns Hopkins University are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for working, learning and patient care for every member of our community and all those we serve. Statements that explicitly threaten or extol violence against groups or individuals on the basis of national origin, race or religion violate our policies and do not represent our values."
I “call for” CAIR to GTF out of the Country
Most of what Dr Klugman said in his tweets is understandable… particularly as it was written on October 8 in the midst of the monstrous acts being committed by the Gazans.
The measure of any civilization is in its humanity, how we treat one another.
The Palestinians revelled in the subhuman treatment of Israelis whether dead or alive. They are beyond barbaric.
They are subhuman. So is CAIR in the defence of the Palestinians actions. CAIRS council of sand monkeys need to STFU.
How’s that expression go? Best to be thought a fool than open your mouth and prove it. CAIR with that value set needs to vacate America and move to Gaza.
If the CIA was worth a damn it would release all it has on CAIR, and that would be the end of it here in the USA.

A RESOLUTION URGING ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT AND GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES IN MISSISSIPPI TO AVOID AND SUSPEND ALL CONTACTS AND OUTREACH ACTIVITIES WITH THE COUNCIL ON AMERICAN ISLAMIC RELATIONS (CAIR).
WHEREAS, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has suspended all formal contacts with CAIR (the Council on American Islamic Relations) due to evidence demonstrating a relationship between CAIR and HAMAS, a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization; and
WHEREAS, in the U.S. v. the Holy Land Foundation, the largest successful terrorism financing prosecution in United States history, CAIR was identified as a Muslim Brotherhood front group and was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the trial; and
WHEREAS, CAIR opened its first office in Washington, D.C. with the help of a grant from the Holy Land Foundation, a charitable organization that was shut down by the United States Department of the Treasury for funding Jihadist terrorist organizations; and
WHEREAS, in 2014, United States ally, the United Arab Emirates, officially designated CAIR as a terrorist organization; and
WHEREAS, in March 2011, Muthanna Al-Hanooti, one of CAIR’s directors, was sentenced to a year in federal prison for violating United States sanctions against Saddam’s Iraq; and
WHEREAS, in 2006, the co-founder of CAIR’s parent organization, IAP (Islamic Association for Palestine), Sami Al-Arian, was sentenced to 57 months in prison on terrorism charges for financing Palestinian Islamic Jihad, a designated terrorist organization according to the United States Department of the Treasury; and
WHEREAS, in 2004, CAIR Northern Virginia Director Abdurahman Alamoudi pled guilty to terrorism-related financial and conspiracy charges, which resulted in a 23-year federal prison sentence; and
WHEREAS, Randall Todd Royer, who served as a communications specialist and civil rights coordinator for CAIR, trained with Lashkar-e-Taiba, an al Qaeda-tied Kashmir organization that is listed on the State Department’s international terror list and was also indicted on charges of conspiring to help al Qaeda and the Taliban battle American troops in Afghanistan and was sentenced to 20 years in prison on April 9, 2004; and
WHEREAS, in September 2003, CAIR’s former Community Affairs Director, Bassem Khafagi, pled guilty to three federal counts of bank and visa fraud and agreed to be deported to Egypt after he had funneled money to activities supporting terrorism and had published material advocating suicide attacks against the United States and illegal activities took place while he was employed by CAIR; and
WHEREAS, Ann Arbor, Michigan, CAIR fundraiser Rabih Kaddad was arrested on terrorism-related charges and was deported from the United States due to his work as Executive Director of the Global Relief Foundation, which in October 2002 was designated by the United States Department of the Treasury for financing al Qaeda and other terrorist organizations; and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to help secure the safety and freedom of all Mississippians:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby call on all law enforcement and governmental agencies in our state to avoid and suspend all contacts and outreach activities with the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.

But to call for the loss of license and livelihood for a physician stating the obvious that the acts of Oct 7 were those of subhumans is discrimination agains physicians.
Any other person, including a moose limb calling for the obliteration of Israel, which is equivalent, would never have raised an eyebrow.
The Hopkins response is taking the Hamas side lock, stock, and barrel. Which is worse than discrimination against the physician.

This guy is a medical doctor. Doesn’t he know there’s no room for the truth in his work? Since covid, truth has been a serious crime in the medical profession. Add to that, his expression of reasonable human concern and this guy is a monster. Next we’ll find out he like puppies and ice cream. The horror!!!
would it be thought? A sizable part of the left is now very pro radical Islam. They see themselves as useful allies in their mutual fight against Jews, Whites, Christians.
