Emily Matson, a popular award-winning news anchor and reporter at WIPU-TV in Erie, PA, for 20 years, has died suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 42. No cause of death was given for Matson. She is survived by her husband, Ryan. Matson's last on-air appearance was on Friday, and her death was announced by her news station, Erie News Now, on Monday.
Tributes have been pouring in from all corners for the TV news veteran, including many from fellow journalists. "It is with a very heavy heart that we have learned of the passing of our beloved Erie News Now news anchor Emily Matson," said her station's parent

I think they’re calling it SADS. Like SIDS, only insert adult in place of infant. Same cause. Giving it a name is just trying to legitimize it and make it normal.

Sympathy to her family but it is horribly selfish to make someone else (train driver) the instrument of your death.

Lots of time to think about it as the train is coming down the tracks. It’s really sad, she must have been in a horrible place.

2018: Kira Molina’s parents thought she would be fine after the 15-year-old tested negative for the flu last Thursday. But on Sunday night, the “fun-loving” teen went to bed and never woke up again.
My late brother in law was a train driver. He said the worst feeling in the world is see people stand next the tracks waiting for them to step in front and then smack!
He had 3 suicides. He knew another driver that had 10 and it ate that guy up so bad he did it too.
