Appearances really mean nothing. I recall a guy in the Army that was just as white and Caucasian looking as the next guy. But he classified himself as black. Come to find out he was the product of a mixed marriage. His physical appearance favored his white parent. Technically he was 50% black.
We have a new neighbor that has reservation tags on his car, indicating he’s got an Indian percentage high enough to be a tribal member. He looks just as white as any other neighbor.
You can’t tell by appearances.

That’s why you need the DNA test. :-)
I have pictures of my Dad at the beach with me when I was a baby. When he spent a lot of time in the sun he became very dark. He almost looked like a negro. I also have a picture of his mother who also had dark olive skin and who could have been mistaken for black. He took a DNA test and was 96% southern Italian, no african DNA. My test was very similar. All my grandparents were from Sicily.
