LOS ANGELES - Two Southern California residents are bound to be feeling very lucky today.
According to the California lottery, two Mega Millions jackpot tickets were sold at the same Encino gas station on Friday night.
The Chevron gas station is located on Ventura Blvd near Lindley Ave.
The two tickets held the winning numbers of 21-26-53-66-70 with a jackpot number of lucky 13. The unique win earned the ticket holders a grand prize of $395 million to share.

It is a great truth that you have just told
Somebody probably accidentally bought two tickets with the same favorite numbers.
It’s possible but I would like to hear if that’s what happened.
I rarely play lotto so it’s not going to have much of an impact on me.
Yes
The grand prize is divided equally among winners so there is no advantage but smaller prizes would be doubled, as you said
Didnβt this just happen in Brooklyn?
One guy in NY won 5 times the FBI asked questions got nothing his last one million ticket he gave to his daughter.
Must know the odds and number sequence.
Probably 2 illegals too. Maybe one homeless and one illegal. Then again perhaps a crack addict and a meth freak. .or any combination thereof......Welcome to Californa.
“Fraud?”
Mega Millions numbers are drawn from two sets of numbers. Five numbers are drawn from one set of 56 numbered white balls and one Mega Ball number is drawn from a second set of 46 numbered gold balls.
Players may pick six numbers from two separate pools of numbers - five different numbers from 1 to 70 (the white balls) and one number from 1 to 25 (the gold Mega Ball) - or select Easy Pick/Quick Pick. You win the jackpot by matching all six winning numbers in a drawing.
Fraud? The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350. One can only imagine what the odds are for two winning tickets to be bought at the same location. And why a Chevron service station in Encino? Kinda has that aroma doesn’t it?
Of course I’m surprised the state of Mexico north would still allow their gold ball to be called mega.

That is my assumption. My dad did that one time with Powerball. He laughed about it but we did not win.
Statistically that seems almost impossible.
Thatβs what level 3 body armor with front and back inserts are for. π
Then again they gotta sleep sometime. π₯±
Dominion making lottery machines now?
I don’t have to win the big prize. Just something in the seven- or eight-digit would be more than enough for me! π Anything after that is just icing on the icecream! π

I’ve noticed the same thing. Over and over the winners are in California or New York.
Gave up on buying lottery tickets years ago. A dollar a week. I couldn’t even match one of the numbers. It was depressing. It was a waste of hard-earned money. Every week your hopes get dashed. You only hear about the winners. Besides which, buying those tickets violated my own long-standing rule of being opposed to gambling in any form. Ill-gotten gains. It will haunt you.
I hear you. I daydream about winning. It’s rare that I buy a ticket. Never won, either.
I always looked at it that what you bought was a short period to dream of winning until you don’t and that is it. Granted one can dream without buying but you get that microscopic chance if you do.
Not a gambler at all.
A neighbor bought a ticket for me when I was going through a divorce. I had to wait several days to see if I’d won, but it cheered me in the meantime!
As normal as one guy winning two $10 million scratcher tickets at the same place.....
NYC man wins $10M on scratch-off, a year after winning $10M on ticket bought at same shop

I have double-bought the same numbers before using the slip to fill out. Accidentally.

Buy 9 with the same numbers, if there are 10 winners you get 90% of the pot!
