As a frequent traveler, one of the biggest issues I deal with is what I eat. I am a very picky eater; a confirmed carnivore my love of vegetables is weak at best and most notably, I don’t eat any fish or seafood. My fellow Americans may wonder why I phrase it that way, but I’ll get to that in a second. The point of this post is that even after years of writing about this issue I’m still faced with certain difficulties when I travel, and since I’ve heard from many people around the world who are just like me, I thought I’d write yet another post, this one a little more direct, in order to make my life and those like me a little bit easier when we travel the world.

To me it’s the animals themselves.
Lobster and crabs are bugs.
Fish are weird slimy creatures.
Ugh..
I don’t even like touching fish let alone eating one.
There aint NUTHIN!!! Nothing... Better than lightly blackened Mahi*Steaks, not cheap eatery planks) or lightly breaded fried Wahoo with a light mustard sauce on the side. almost physically arousing!!! js...
I’m a native Texan, I love my meat & potatoes.
But, when travelling, I will at least TRY whatever is going on in the neighborhood.
Oxtail, gator tail, Rocky Mountain Oysters, escargot, whatever..
If I don’t like it, douse it with hot sauce or bbq sauce. Easy peasy.
I’m a frequent traveler too. 150 nights on the road this year. Some good meals, some bad. A few stellar.
I’m writing this from a restaurant. Most people don’t realize that you can usually vary meals. I didn’t want fries so I got two vegetables.
I was recently told by the doctor to be a better eater. Started eating more fish, usually salmon. I’ve begun to really like it. Last night was soup and a salad.
Side note-I’ve dumped almost 25 lbs barely trying. My wife is pissed at me.

If the spouse doesn’t like seafood they have great non-seafood items also: steak, chicken, excellent burgers. It’s a nice restaurant so it’s not McDonalds prices..

I bet Matt likes the lettuce, tomato, and pickles (cucumber) that are on his hamburgers. All of those are vegetables.

Except tomatoes and cucumbers, which are fruits.
