Russian soldiers are freezing to death near the Area of Avdiivka to the point they are having to resupply with a new automated drone which the Ukrainians are have destroyed the first one today. Russia tooke nearly 1,300 dead over the past day, and Ukraine is now attacking in some small parts ot the front to regain intitiative. Putin visited the UAE and Saudi Arabia today in a bid to encourage the middle east that Russia has their best interest in mind all though there has been no takers.

I wish you health, fellow Ukrainians!
Today was a long and very meaningful day. The Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. My congratulations, warriors! Thank you for your strength and courage. I thank everyone who defends Ukraine, our national interests and the interests of our society. All of us in Ukraine are grateful.
I honored our warriors with state awards. The day before, I signed several decrees on the occasion of the Day of the Armed Forces – in total, more than 700 warriors were honored. All of them are worthy.
I visited a military hospital to thank the doctors and support the guys recovering from wounds. And I am grateful and proud of all the military doctors of Ukraine, all our combat medics, all the nurses who save the lives of the wounded warriors and bring them back to life after heavy attacks by the occupier.
Today I also visited Okhmatdyt – on the occasion of St. Nicholas Day. And it is symbolic that according to the updated calendar, two holidays now coincide – the Day of our Armed Forces, the basis of defense, and St. Nicholas Day. Life itself shows that the dreams of our children, the security of Ukrainian families, and the culture of the Ukrainian people are possible only on the foundation of the mighty and respected Armed Forces of Ukraine, and their results – together with all the Defense and Security Forces of our country. It is important that the strength of our warriors truly returns security to our people, our children, and Ukrainian cities.
Today, the First Lady of Ukraine and her team visited two special schools in Zhytomyr region – the Superhero Schools. In total, there are 11 such schools already. These are state institutions under the patronage of Olena, which are established at children’s hospitals. Sometimes children need to be treated in a hospital for months, undergo long rehabilitation. And for them not to lose out on education, there are schools and special teachers in hospitals that allow children to undergo treatment and study at the same time. It is important for this initiative to expand, for new educational institutions to be opened in the regions. I am grateful to everyone who helps with the work of the Superhero Schools and who, on days like today, helps create a real holiday for all children of Ukraine – no matter where they are.
Today we also had a lot of international work. We managed to return to Ukraine eight more Ukrainian children who were deported to Russia from our temporarily occupied territory. I am grateful to the State of Qatar for its effective mediation and to Dmytro Lubinets, the Ombudsman, and the entire team that is working on this issue.
Our Ukrainian delegation, including Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, Head of the Office Andriy Yermak, and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, is actively working in Washington. There were important meetings, particularly in the U.S. Congress, and with representatives of President Biden’s administration. Secretary of Defense Austin, Secretary of State Blinken. The work is highly active, and as a result, we have good, necessary signals for Ukraine. And also a new package of American assistance, military support. I am grateful to the United States for their support!
I took part in a meeting of the Group of Seven leaders. It is already a tradition that Ukraine is represented at such summits. I thanked Japan and Mr. Prime Minister Kishida for the productive and principled Japanese presidency of the Group of Seven. Next year Italy will be holding the presidency, and we are already discussing with Giorgia, Mrs. Prime Minister of Italy, the priorities of the Italian presidency. It was important for me to thank each of the G7 leaders for their personal leadership. There is a new powerful statement of the Group of Seven, in particular, in support of Ukraine. Many important things for our country, for our people, are included in the statement.
Today I also addressed the participants of the conference in Washington, DC, dedicated to our joint work with America on defense production. It is very important that our agreements with President Biden are gradually being implemented. Minister for Strategic Industries Kamyshin has had a lot of meetings in Washington these days. But that’s not all... I would also like to recognize the work of Ukrainian law enforcers and Prosecutor General Kostin with their partners in America. These are important steps – the United States has indicted four Russian military personnel suspected of committing a war crime – torturing a U.S. citizen. For Ukraine, it is crucial that every crime committed by the Russian occupiers is thoroughly investigated and given a lawful and fair legal process, leading to an appropriate verdict. And our institutions, together with our partners, are actively working on this.
One more thing. I held a meeting with international relations officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office. We are preparing a vigorous continuation of December and an active beginning of the next year. Ukraine will fight for its own interests, for the fair interests of every free nation. Because when we can defend ourselves, it strengthens everyone else in the world who, like us in Ukraine, values freedom and the international order.
I thank everyone who is fighting and working for Ukraine! Glory to the Armed Forces of Ukraine! And may the memory of all Ukrainian heroes of different times who fought and gave their lives to keep Ukraine alive remain bright.

On St. Nicholas Day, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the National Children’s Specialized Hospital “Okhmatdyt” to talk to children undergoing rehabilitation after injuries caused by Russian terrorist shelling of Ukraine.
The Head of State inquired about the children’s health, hobbies and biggest dreams.
“The main thing is to make children feel happy, to make all your wishes and dreams come true. We are fighting every day for you to live in a peaceful, independent Ukraine,” the President said.
In particular, Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with Kseniya Verbytska, who was injured as a result of a missile attack in Chernihiv, and Maryna Ponomariova from Kherson region, who is undergoing rehabilitation after being wounded by an enemy shell explosion.
Last year, Volodymyr Zelenskyy recorded a video birthday greeting for Maryna Ponomariova, in which he promised to meet the girl in person. Maryna became the first child with a war injury to receive a prosthetic in Ukraine.
The Head of State spoke with Kateryna and Yulia Iorgu. The girls were wounded as a result of a missile attack on the Kramatorsk railway station. Their mother was killed. Yelyzaveta Nadtochiy and Bohdan Yalovytskyi, with whom the President also spoke, are undergoing scheduled rehabilitation at Okhmatdyt.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated the children on St. Nicholas Day and presented them with gifts.
The Head of State inspected modern equipment used for the rehabilitation of children.
Director General of Okhmatdyt Volodymyr Zhovnir handed over to the President toys made by the hospital’s young patients.

Day 651 of the Russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine continues.
The Russian federation continues to wage a war of aggression. Despite significant losses, it does not abandon its plans for the complete occupation of Ukraine. The enemy continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, conducts strikes, and shells both military and civilian targets.
The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.
During the day of December 6, there were 83x combat engagements.
The enemy launched a total of 2x missile strikes, 71x air strikes, 65x MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Private residential buildings as well as other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
VOLYN and POLISSYA AXIS: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.
SIVERSHCHYNA and SLOBOZHANSHCHYNA AXIS: the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. The invaders launched an air strike near Krasnyi Khutir (Chernihiv oblast). Around 40x settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Plokhiv, Mykhalchyna Sloboda (Chernihiv oblast), Chuikivka, Prohres, Baranivka (Sumy oblast), Zemlyanky, Kruhle, Okhrimivka, Bochkove (Kharkiv oblast).
KIPYANSK AXIS: Ukrainian defenders repelled 6x enemy attacks in the vicinity of Synkivka (Kharkiv oblast). The adversary launched air strikes near Synkivka, Ivanivka, Pishchane (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10x settlements, including Fyholivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Tabaivka, Krokhmalne, Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).
LYMAB AXIS: Ukrainian defense forces repelled 6x attacks of the invaders who, with air support, attempted to force Ukrainian units out of their positions in the area of Terny, Vesele, Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast). Moreover, the invaders launched air strikes in the vicinity of Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast) and Spirne (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at around 15x settlements, including Makiivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Yampolivka, Torske, Dibrova (Donetsk oblast).
BAKHMUT AXIS: Ukrainian defenders repelled 10x attacks near Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka and Andriivka (Donetsk oblast). The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Stupochky (Donetsk oblast). Around 15x settlements, including Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Ozarianivka (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.
AVDIIVKA AXIS: Ukrainian defenders repelled 29x attacks in the area east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, Sjeverne, Tonenke, Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy, with air support, was making unsuccessful attempts to breach Ukrainian defenses. Also, the invaders launched an air strike in the vicinity of Oleksandropil (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 15x settlements, including Novokalynove, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Netailove, Nevelske (Donetsk oblast).
MARYINKA AXIS: Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the vicinities of Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy, with air support, launched 13x attacks on positions of Ukrainian defenders. The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Pobjeda, Paraskoviivka, Katerynivka (Donetsk oblast) were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.
SHAKHTARSKE AXIS: Ukrainian defenders repelled an enemy attack near Novodonetske (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinities of Urozhaine, Staromaiorske, Rivnopil (Donetsk oblast). Around 15x settlements, including Vodyane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.
ZAPORIZHZHIA AXIS: Ukrainian defense forces repelled 5x enemy attacks west of Verbove and Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 25x settlements, including Chervone, Novodanylivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove, Kamyanske, Plavni (Zaporizhzhia oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.
KHERSON AXIS: the occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinity of the settlement of Krynky (Kherson oblast). The enemy fired artillery at the city of Kherson and the settlement of Veletenske (Mykolaiv oblast).
Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold their ground on the left bank of the Dnipro River (Kherson oblast) and inflict fire on the enemy.
During the day of December 6, Ukrainian Air Force launched 11x strikes on concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment, 1x strike on a command post, and 3x strikes on air defense systems of the occupiers.
Ukrainian missile troops hit 1x helicopter, 3x concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment, 1x air defense system, 1x ammunition depot, and 2x artillery systems of the russian invaders.

Ah, so I see today is “Ukraine is winning” day in the never-ending cycle. One day it’s “Ukraine is winning, so send more money because victory is just around the corner.” The next day it’s “Ukraine is losing and in imminent danger of ceasing to exist, so send more money to save it.” And thus the story ping pongs back and forth, but the one constant is always “send more money.”
