The U.S. will move to require new planes to be equipped with cockpit voice recorders, or CVRs, to capture 25 hours of information. The move will help prevent critical data from be over written after an incident in which the plane keeps flying more than two hours.
Too bad this couldn’t be made retroactive to the “airplanes” that hit the Pentagon and WTC1/2.
So the previous flight crew can be held accountable for statements/conversations had. I fly an aircraft that has about a 16.5 hour range, I have an incident and suddenly the previous cruise is being looked at because of the statements they made with the voice recorder? Unreal.
Crews, not cruise!
Yep- gonna need a good lawyer to combat attempts to link past conversations with an accident that happened the next day now evidently.
IS getting harder and harder to “prove one’s innocence” thEse days even though by law it is the prosecution that is supposed to prove guilt- not the other way around.
It seems that Now they will have an easier time “proving” guilt, and the defendant a harder time proving innocence when a prosecution takes statemts totslly out of context, from previous conversations no less tO support their charge of recklessness or whatever.
Are you the guy/gal that flies over my house every morning at 0410 with all those packages?

PoHaps!
But not likely because I’m ANC based and most of my trips head west over the Pacific.
But likely the same company
Why do you put scare quotes around the word “airplanes”?
Do you really think that the cause of the 9-11 events was NOT airplanes that crashed into buildings?
In the cases where it seems that the pilot intentionally crashed the plane because of depression or ideological reasons, wouldn't those conversations help to elucidate why the pilot took such action?
According to Wikipedia "Suicide by pilot", intentional pilot crashes are the second leading cause of airplane crashes. That's kind of scary.
911, one of the biggest scams in American history. Don’t get me started. It’s almost no longer debatable.
Oswald killed Kennedy much? You are not familiar with Operation Mockingbird?
In keeping with the thread topic, you are aware NO black boxes were recovered from the Pentagon, WTC, nor even at that field in PA, right? All the while, a completely intact “hijacker” passport was found within the first few hours.
Oh, I’m sorry. Conspiracy theories just aren’t my thing.
But, I'll note that ALL will be revealed. The truth of 911 WILL be made known, not just for those of us digging deeper, but for all.
ANC? African National Conference?
Don’t forget about OKC fedzilla blowing up their own building.
Yep, exactly
Joe Biden: "That's almost an entire day's worth!"
>In the cases where it seems that the pilot intentionally crashed the plane because of depression or ideological reasons, wouldn’t those conversations help to elucidate why the pilot took such action?<
No.
The suicidal pilot will leave a long trail of evidence and/or utter something in the last moments before the crash.
Commercial aviation has become so incredibly safe we are not talking about a lot of suicides. Besides, there are so many possible causes to choose from that this stat is not a surprise at all.
Let’s imagine all cars had a 25 hour recording device. Every time a cop pulled you over he could do a look back of 25 hours to decide if he wants to write you another ticket that you will have to defend in court. Now do you understand the push back from the pilots?

Flight 93 Transcript
Transcript of Flight 93’s Cockpit Voice Recorder
During the sentencing phase of the 2006 trial of Zacarias Moussaoui, the contents of the cockpit voice recorder of Flight 93 were played for the jury. On April 12, the government released a transcript of the recording, but not the recording itself. The last entry in the transcript has the timestamp 10:03:09, consistent with the 9/11 Commission’s story that the crash was at 10:03. An report two years prior to the publication of the Commission’s Report — when the crash time was widely recognized as 10:06 — stated that “the last seconds of the cockpit voice recorder are the loud sounds of wind, hinting at a possible hole somewhere in the fuselage.”

“The black boxes, considered crucial for those investigating the attack, were recovered at about 4 a.m. and are now being reviewed at a National Transportation Safety Board laboratory in Washington.”
9/11 “Black Box” Cover-up Story Finally Breaks Out
At this point in time, 22 years later, one cannot with any reliability come up with what really happened via google search research.
