Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) was the guest on Friday’s episode of ABC’s The View, which was live as the news broke that the House of Representatives voted to expel now-former Rep. George Santos (R-NY). It was predictable that the hosts would ask Fetterman about Santos, but he was more interested in seeing someone else expelled: fellow Senate Democrat Bob Menendez of New Jersey.
Fetterman sat for three segments on Friday’s show, and he discussed a variety of topics with the hosts, including his health improving since his near-fatal stroke and bout of depression — “Fox News is devastated to know that,” he quipped — as well as anti-Semitism and the Israel-Hamas War. But the news about Santos was hot off the presses, leading co-host Joy Behar to ask the senator what his reaction was.
Fetterman said he was “not surprised,” but had bigger concerns with his Senate colleague Menendez:
"I think the more important picture is, is that we have a colleague in the Senate that actually does much more sinister and serious kinds of things. Senator Menendez, he needs to go. And if you are going to expel Santos, how can you allow somebody like Menendez to remain in the Senate? And, you know, Santos is kind of, lies were almost, you know, funny. And like, you know, he, you know, landed on the moon and that kind of stuff. Whereas, you know, I think, you know, Menendez, I think is really a senator for Egypt. You know, not New Jersey. So I really think he needs to go."
Sen. Menendez was indicted on federal bribery charges and pleaded not guilty.
Jeez, if “sinister” is the standard....

Geez man, you mean FETTERMAN is growing on me? I think I need a drink.
He’s still a rubber stamp vote for Marxism. I think his strokes may have somehow knocked some common sense and honesty into him, but so long as he votes with Schumer and Biden he is an enemy to us the USA and its citizens and must be voted from office.
Maybe his stroke wiped out the part of his cerebral cortex where the liberal ideology was stored.
Man, that’s really disturbing to me as well. Fetterman doing the work Republicans should be doing? What’s in he!! Is going on.
I oppose expulsion period. That is the job of the voters.
But Menendez is a Democrat and their Sins are easily forgiven.
Good call by Fetterman. At the same time, though, it’s a safe call because he knows that NJ Senate seat would be filled by another lefty Dem.
Which “Fetterman” was speaking?
He will change his tune once the party leadership has their talk with him.
Again Fetterman surprises on the upside. I always took him to be a liberal goof who got lucky. I actually met Fetterman once, and briefly talked to him. I wasn’t impressed.
Maybe Fetterman is some kind of genius who was just pranking us all previously. Or maybe not.

NJ’s a safe seat for the demonkkkraps - whoever replaces Bob M will be a flaming demonkkkrap. And enough ballots will show up in NJ when the time is right to make the ‘voters” believe they have a voice in chosing their Senator.
Besides, Bob M has not been convicted. Just like the other guy in the House ... Santos.
Hence, I don’t give Fetterman’s cue cards any credit.
First Fetterman stands with Israel, tells the pro hamas crowd to go F themselves and now this..seriously Im really starting to like this dude..he’s whacky but so far sort of well, impressed..He’s more Pro Israel than Oz would have EVER been

He espouses way too many radical left issues. Still, gotta give him some cred here for stepping out of the drone factory. Maybe that stroke altered his political leanings. Nah.

It’s actually Santos vs Biden.
A large part of the Santos indictment was that one of 435 congressmen lied to Voters before the Election.
Biden did that x 10.
Republicans will not take action action Joe Biden, just like the DoJ and FBi.
Ive been liking him too. His appearance betrays the decent guy on the inside.
