Speaker Johnson Refuses to Confirm Matt Gaetz’s Claim About Deep State Program Authorization

Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-LA) office has refused to confirm Rep. Matt Gaetz’s (R-FL) claim that there will be no reauthorization, temporary or otherwise, of a deep state surveillance tool in the National Defense Authorization Act.

Breitbart News, as well as Wired, reported that Speaker Johnson and Democrat leaders are considering slipping a reauthorization of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), a defense bill that has little to do with government surveillance.

Unfortunately you are right. You and I are on the same page about this denial of reality.

Johnson is not significantly better than McCarthy. Still more than willing to carry water for the Deep State...

I’ll have to disagree, Theo.

Very simple situation.

Why is it hard for the so-called Speaker of the House, who is in the party of smaller, less intrusive governments and freedom, answer the questions directly?

Are you going to allow warrantless spying on the American people? Not just NO, but hell effin’ NO.

Then again, this is the same House that overwhelmingly authorized the money for a new FBI building. Gee, I wonder where some of his hesitation might be coming from.

There’s a reason he easily received the votes he did.

And save a very small handful, there isn’t anyone else

That problem solved itself when the people finally stop voting for the same corrupt clowns.

Some will say the apparatus is so rigged that no one decent will run. Maybe. But if you’re a decent person and you’re convinced that the voters will just vote name recognition and not give you a chance to speak, why bother?

There has to be someone decent in SC, but voters will blindly keep voting for Graham and Scott, regardless of how little they’ve done and how corrupt they are.

The judges are just applying a law that was passed by congress.

If said law didn’t exist then they wouldn’t be able to sign off on anything.

A lot of good videos are doing those people locked up in the DC gulag. J6 was loaded with feds and most clear thinkers knew it from the jump. Nothing will come of this. Nothing ever does. Our political class isn’t on the side of Main street and it hasn’t been for many decades. Johnson appears to be yet another in a long line of stiffs.

I have mixed feelings, because Kash Patel made the case about pre-9/11 and stopping terrorists.

I wish you were right...
A judge can sign any damn warrant any time, with just the flimsiest of proof.
