You probably know this but last Friday, Reps Mike Rogers (House Armed Service Committee Chairman) and Mike Turner (House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman and member of the House Armed Service Committee) undertook a joint effort to remove the UAP disclosure section of the 2023 NDAA.

In other words, they represent the military-industrial complex in Alabama and Ohio (Wright-Patterson AFB) and the MI complex wants to stop any language in the NDAA that requires disclosure.

The question very similar to yours is, "If there is nothing to disclose, why remove language that requires disclosure?"

It seems that Congress is being locked out of classified information that pertains to "non-existent" UFO/UAPs.
