I was not transitioning, (always male and OK ); But my doc put me on testosterone suppliments and the next thing I noticed was that I was producing too many red blood cells. The solution was to draw some blood ervery few months and keep taking testosterone. Then I discovered I was developing arythmia and then I was prescribed blood thinners. Next I developed a subdural hemotoma. A doctor suggested that I should discontinue the testosterone because it may be cause of some of these problems. That is what I did.
Later found that I had sleep apnea throughout this period. I now believe this was the principle cause but I still have the other issues. I would recommend people who are considering this course of action to look carefully for other causes as well, I believe doctors are sometimes afflicted with tunnel vision.
That's been my observation as well. And you can't reason with them. They don't want facts from experts. They are stuck following whatever guidelines the AMA gives regardless of validity. I can give example after example. There has been a proposal for AI to take over some duties of a GP. I was against this when i first heard about it but after some incidents, I've changed my mind.
