In my view the issue in a Regime collapse is organized invasions of areas, rather then individual criminals.

Armed citizens can deal with individual criminals.

But if it is violent gangs from the cities, an organized police force with a command structure, hierarchy, communications equipment etc. can more easily respond than a group of neighbours trying to organize themselves from scratch, while, meanwhile, 5 carloads of Atlanta apes are going house to house.

Kind of thought that was one of the foundational principles of the 2nd Amendment.

God forbid the people defend themsielves. They should rely on others to do the dirty work.

On a side note, 5 carloads of guys from Atlanta wouldn’t make it very far off I20 with minimal organization.
