A song from my youth.
Unfortunately the video visual is pretty much worthless, since they're just lip-syncing and playing air-guitar along with the studio recording (as a guitarist who idolized Terry Kath, I watched his hands, and they were nowhere near).
Nevertheless, enjoyable to listen to -- hadn't heard that tune in years. Took me way back.
Hey Buzzkill, why did you even get on this thread?
The funniest mimer was Keith Moon.

There’s always at least one. Steely Dan - they suck. The Beatles - they suck. The Stones - they suck. Blah blah blah...ad nauseam.

You are so right! Even with some bands that I don’t particulary like, they have at least one song that I can stand.
This is one of my favorite Chicago tunes and the first Leonid and Friends video I ever saw.
I called my wife over to watch and became a total fan. We’ve seen them live several times.
Thanks! I can’t believe how young they were!
Same reason you are clown. Don’t take it so hard.
Seen Leonid and Friends 3X - met them after 1st and 3rd concerts. 2nd they were in a hurry so only quick conversations. Nice people.
Saw Chicago 2X I think. 80s maybe 90s too.

This is the greatest early Chicago video that I have come across. A concert set from start to finish. No lip syncs, not auto tunes, no backing tapes. Just seven guys and some amps. Undeniable talent.
IMHO the best concert video on YT, period.
Yes but sadly Kath was not as skilled in gun safety.
Have seen them live in concert countless times. Always an excellent show.
My jaw goes on the floor for that amazing riff and I can’t pick it back up again. No one has ever done anything like it.
He was a stunningly gifted composer, too. He “wrote” (exuded?) the first cut on the CTA album, “Introduction”. I can’t even count the number of key signature/timing signature changes in that masterpiece. In it, Kath foretold the unusual, ground-breaking nature of their band as a fusion of hard rock, jazz and mood.
Chicago still opens most of its shows these days with “Introduction.” It’s an amazing piece with all of the time and signature changes. I don’t think that Kath even knew how to read sheet music, but somehow they came up with that classic piece that does indeed “Introduce” what the band is all about.
Yes. Keep that in mind when someone insults a group you like.
Thank you for your opinion. High school can be very difficult for some people. Others advance past high school and can have lives that are ultimately very fulfilling. All the best to you.
Chicago was in the Macy’s parade.
