There is a fungus amongst us, and it’s flat-out wrong. As a heavy metal/hard rock guy I went to the Chicago concert I’d won tickets for and was utterly blown away by how great they were.
They really made me wish I stayed on the music track until thinking on the hardships they endure, on the road most of the year playing a set that HAS to pall with repetition no matter how greatly written. Schedules not unlike pro wrestlers - but those guys get to change partners (aka opponents), moves and story lines to keep fresh. Musicians representing a firmly established legacy have to be all-in or pursue something else.
They have discipline and determination I note is sorely lacking in this latest “Gen Z” so we’d best enjoy these classic groups while we can.
Go Hokies. Which auditorium?
Clever....
Nice, thanks for posting. I grew up in Chicago. Used to have one of their albums. What a difference in concert goers. Back then everyone is dancing and enjoying the music. No cellphones.
My first concert was Chicago Transit Authority, pre-abbreviation.
