Nice! We have a .177 pellet rifle but if I’m outside in the yard with my dogs, my .38 will be at hand. We use the .177 mostly for scaring off critters we don’t want to kill. Sometimes even that kills. My husband has a .22 Magnum rifle that he used one day to shoot a rabbit out of my garden. He didn’t tell me. I went out the next day to work in the garden and there were icky rabbit parts all over everything. I told him to use the air rifle next time. LOL
Discharging a firearm in city limits is frowned upon by the local constable, but I have these “22-quiet” shells that are lower powered 22 rounds that are fairly quiet. In the winter, or whenever people have their windows closed, a couple of shots won’t draw much attention.
