The 14.5mm parent round would make a nice anti-material rifle, should the opportunity present itself.

I would thoroughly enjoy talking to your friend about rifle telescopes, spotting scopes and exterior rifle cartridge ballistics. I’m a shooter and a software engineer who during the course of his career was able to be paid a little money studying that discipline. I wonder if it was a cold bore shot or if he had to walk it up. If it’s cold bore, then we even have to factor in barrel harmonics, pressure curve, barrel steel, Rockwell Hardness, what else? Let’s setup a Support Vector Machine, SVP, probably run the algorithmic equations under Linux. You know, just for fun. Optics and mounts are critical. Regards, kawhill

I had a Jeep CJ5 in ‘79 that had that inline 6 cylinder engine. My Uncle David called it the “Rambler” engine. Grandma even had a car with that engine.
