My mother used to put on a polka station on the radio on her bread baking day. All days he would bake bread. The first batch was a huge tray of sacrificial rolls (I have six siblings). That would usually last for a couple hours.
And we used the butter that we made from raw milk!

Is there anything that compares to the aroma of baking bread?
My mother had an automatic bread maker - that disappeared after she died, we have no idea who took it - made great bread...
