I've used FIREFOX with almost no problems for 5 or 6 years, but a month ago, I started getting annoying glitches, so I switched to EDGE.
It's not much different, but I had to input all my task bar data individually AND all my short cut hyperlinks in the search mode.
I have always cleared my cache and history before cleaning (defrag) with GLARY UTILITIES, again with no problems.
A week ago I noticed I was booting up with my task bar empty except for the factory settings.
I switched back to FIREFOX and it still glitches.
Where do I look to see what is wrong ?
thanx

Recheck/reset your Glary Utilities settings.
Loose nut on the keyboard. Tighten it up.
Clearly a PEBKAC error.
You can export that stuff from firefox and reload if needed. Also, you can synch with firefox settings and a mozilla account.
?In Logged You Are
Edge requires you to log in every time you turn on the computer.
You can drag and drop your app icons directly to the Edge Task Bar.
Microsoft had a major Edge upgrade a month or two ago that deleted one of my Task Bar icons.
Also, there should be a default Search icon (white magnifying glass) on your Edge Task Bar.
Click on that icon, type in your problem, and a step by step solution almost always comes up.
The Task Bar Search icon used to have exclusive pages.
Now, it looks like it makes you go through Microsoft Bing Search for Edge related issues.
Bing advice on tuning your computer to your exact demands is not nearly as good as the former Task Bar Search page.
Good luck - I do not have time to help you with this at the moment.
Take decisive action...
Be Brave...
Is this what you are referring to?
(Note: I use 7+ Taskbar Tweaker along with Explorer Patcher that restores the Windows 11 taskbar to be like but better Windows 10, plus Open Shell (click on Releases>Latest on middle right side)
And my Firefox certainly does not look like Edge, thank God.
What you likely need to do is use the Restore feature, to revert back to the last time before your problem. Go to Run and paste C:\Windows\System32\rstrui.exe and run.
May we use all for what is good in the eyes of God.
My Windows 10 Surface 3 has updated three times in two days. My task bar disappeared completely, then reappeared after restarting. The search bar is gone from my desktop. Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 10 in 2025, and none of my computers are eligible to upgrade. I must admit, it’s a great sales pitch. We’re breaking your computer so you need to buy a new one.
My re-manned desktop from lenovo is about three months old because my last one was VERY gunked up, in SPITE of protections and cleanings.
