My question exactly. (Which Laz's rolling wrist snark didn't answer, of course.)
That’s how they do it in China.
I for one look forward to serving our AI powered robot overlords.
Fortunately, if they start hijacking bodies, I’ll be way down the list, if I’m allowed in line at all.
Sadly Koontz is looking more and more like a prophet.
People who are fertile and genetically acceptable will go once a year, probably in the summer, to the House of Mating.
There the men will be required have an electric probe inserted which will cause ejaculation into a cup.
That will then be used to impregnate females via AI.
Any resultant babies will be born in the spring and taken to the House of Babies where they will be cared for until they are old enough to go to the House of Children.
Sounds too bourgeoisie. Ministry of Reproduction And Rearing.
Humans are restricted to a 3000 words basic vocabulary.
Me Too.

Posting.
This is certainly some nightmare fuel.
I only hope it made you think.
I'm unaware of it.
It takes me about 20 minutes to drive any one of them crazy.
That’s at work. I postulate AI-powered micromanagement in your day-to-day life, which is a far worse scenario.
It was a bad move.
You might like it.
There are companies that have keystroke loggers so the managers know what you are typing. Microsoft Office provides all that you do to your manager.
I worked at Earthlink ISP some 20 years ago and they had a screenshot program that snapped a photo of your screen every one minute. Other companies like Amazon follow a employee around moment by moment. That employee can be fired by computer for not moving fast enough all the time.
I know that the last manager I had would look at your web browser history.
He was a lousy manager and person.
It does, I have done a lot of thinking and reading about this subject, specifically what AI is and its vast potential of good vs evil.
AI has the potential to be, one of the greatest things mankind has ever known but more likely it has the potential to be the evilest thing mankind has ever known.
Human beings are inherently flawed in many ways, the term opposites attract applies, on one hand you have the people that seek power and control over others and the ability to attract people to their cause and you have others who are searching for someone to blame for their misfortunes that will follow anyone they believe will solve their problems.
A prime example is Adolf Hitler and the German people, a completely evil narcissist was able to influence a well educated population into a World War of annihilation.
AI in its most evil form could make Hitler look like a Boy Scout.
The first step is the implementation of a Central government CBDC, which a vast majority of people will buy into for ease of use and convenience, down the road the implementation of a social credit score thru AI that has the ability to turn on or off your access to your money by controlling a CBDC.
I have other ideas on how to deal with what I think is inevitable that I will share at some point.
Great to see you Laz. GREAT post. “lost productivity” and others items stated very well in your post. I didn’t/don’t mind being micro managed by some idiot supervisor because it slowed down my productivity (and still does). It’s like having a break throughout my workday. Very informative post BUMP!
good vanity, Laz.
I would caution that in America, a majority is accepting of socialism-light while speaking of free markets and capitalism.
