And firing him before the season is over.
I think his winning record is not the only reason for his firing. My guess is that he pissed off his bosses.
Also watch for the AD and assistant coaches to be shown the door.
LSU game will not go well with all this chaos going on.

Indeed, but we aren’t talking chump change here. And there will be the matter of hiring a new coach too.

No sweat here. This is precisely why University foundations exist… to serve the needs of their respective Athletic departments… Meh

SMH, they raise tuition and fees a few buck...no big deal

It’s good to see universities concentrating on what’s important.

Thanks….desperate times call for desperate measures….we can hold satellite parties at bars around the country and charge $50 admission/person, and put the happenings at Beaver Stadium on pay-per-view.
We need fresh thinking on these matters….Russia/Uk is nuthin’ compared to the Franklin fiasco.

Now now…No need to rush into things.
I’d be comfortable with PSU hiring a head of lettuce as an interim head coach.
Take a year to find someone who gets Penn State. And has skills.
We can wait.

Coaches are caring more about money than the game or the team. Too Much Money.

Take it as given that anyone who has managed to land a D-I head coach position has worked his ass off to get there - from high school. to lowly assistant positions, to a coordinator, then head coach at a minor FBS school or even D-III. And it has to be win, win, win through all that. Then finally hopefully you get the big job and the big bucks. Bruce Arians (okay NFL but still...) started as a high school assistant coach.

I would consider Gus Malzahn.
UCF hasn’t been great this year, but then they go out and whup Oklahoma State 45-3.
And is Oklahoma State the strangest team, ever. They go and beat teams like OU, Kansas and Kansas State, but are outscored by South Alabama and Central Florida by a combined 78-10! Whuuuut?!?!?!?!

Oh Lord. If that happened, I’d stop being a Gator. That would be the straw that broke the camel’s back for me.

Coaches live on their reputation, Jimbo’s is shot.
Meyer has somehow rehabilitated his reputation since the Jags debacle.
So he’s going to name his price.

I’ll take the wilderness without scum of the earth being head coach.
