The public doesn’t understand the risks of a Trump victory. That’s the media’s fault.[yes. barf.]

The press must get across to American citizens the crucial importance of this election and the dangers of a Trump win.

It’s now clearer than ever that Trump, if elected, will use the federal government to go after his political rivals and critics, even deploying the military toward that end. His allies are hatching plans to invoke the Insurrection Act on day one.

The US then “would resemble a banana republic”...

Deploying the military to crush protests is radical. So is putting your cronies and yes men in charge of justice. These moves would sound a death knell for American democracy.

Trump, meanwhile, is facing 91 criminal indictments in Atlanta, Miami, New York and Washington DC...

Newsroom leaders should be getting their staffs together to brainstorm how to do it. Right now.

With the election less than a year away, there’s no time to waste...

The risk of a Trump victory is that the Federal Government will destroy the whole country rather than letting him exercise the powers of his office.

In other words, pretty much what happened last time...

“”will use the federal government to go after his political rivals and critics””

I wonder how the writer wrote it without choking on his words...Gosh - I wonder WHO would ever use the federal government to go after political rivals? That really takes some thinking. I wonder if the name Hillary Clinton ever came to mind???

I prefer: Americans do not understand the disaster of a Trump loss. And what it will mean to then personally.

Margaret Sullivan is either completely delusional or the biggest liar... or ... stupid? She is afraid Trump is going to do what she evidently approves of when Biden does it.

She is nuttier than a squirrel turd.

IF the media had done their job there would have never been a biden administration of liars, thieves and government agencies going after the political enemies of the Marxists in biden’s administration. all for doing unto them as they’ve done until others.

“ It’s now clearer than ever that Trump, if elected, will use the federal government to go after his political rivals and critics”

His critics. Ok. But is he going after them for that reason? That they are his critics?

Like they do to him?

“Did you really think we want those laws observed?” said Dr. Ferris. “We want them to be broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against... We’re after power and we mean it... There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that’s the system, Mr. Reardon, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.”

“ They need to get used to some resistance.”

No they don’t

They won’t

We need to get comfortable with resistance

Love that....some pretty good comments on this thread...

Remember what John Galt said in his radio address in “Atlas Shrugged:

“I know you’ve always known what it is you wanted but your game is up - now we know it too.”

"Pandemic of the unvaccinated"
"We're losing our patience"
OSHA jab mandates
EV mandates
Banning natural gas appliances
Banning guns
"Extreme MAGA republicans"
Law enforcement harassment of Catholics and paremts who challenge school boards
Fostering an invasion across a non existent border
Hindreds of people in prison, without trial, and if word is accurate, many of whom who are being mistreated
Suppression of journalists and information at odds to official "narratives", several of whom are also in prison
"Black box" elections
Persecution of political opposition

Gee, that list is getting pretty long. And Trump is the problem?
