Democrats would love to have Trump in office. The amount of money they could raise off him being in there would be unlimited. Knowing, that he walked in as a lame duck, they could easily stall and grow their power.
Nothing excites them more than him in office. He would do large deals with them in massive spending, perhaps he would do some large amnesty deals, etc. They can't wait.
