Some would laugh but would you believe I first saw it coming with the original Karate Kid in..what 1984? I was only about 20 and thought hey…..all the bad kids are white , the bad kids coach is white. The good kid is brown, the good coach is Chinese. What are the odds this is accidental? And it’s only snowballed from there.

"the good coach is Chinese. " The good coach, Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita) is Japanese. And the Japanese girlfriend of Daniel-san is gorgeous.
