THE FAMILY OF a Kiss guitar tech — who died while quarantining in 2021 after contracting Covid during the band’s End of the Road World Tour — is suing for wrongful death, according to a lawsuit reviewed by Rolling Stone.
Catherine Stueber, whose husband Fran had served as guitar tech for Paul Stanley for decades, filed the suit in Los Angeles on Wednesday along with several members of her family, claiming both negligence and wrongful death. Kiss founding members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, their longtime manager Doc McGhee, the tour’s promoter Live Nation, and hotel chain Marriott International were all named as defendants.
…
The suit comes nearly two years after a Rolling Stone investigation detailed claims from several Kiss roadies who said that allegedly lax Covid protocols contributed to Stueber’s death. Several of those allegations from the story are included in the filing. The roadies said that the band didn’t regularly test the crew ...
…
The band, however, refuted to Rolling Stone that the tour used safety protocols “that met, but most often exceeded, federal, state, and local guidelines. But ultimately this is still a global pandemic and there is simply no foolproof way to tour without some element of risk.”
Further, the band said at the time that some crew members hid when they were sick rather than coming forward to test, and that some crew members provided fake vaccine cards. “We are now aware there were crew members who attempted to conceal signs of illness, and when it was discovered, refused medical attention… Furthermore, it has recently been brought to our attention that certain crew members may have provided fake vaccination cards which, if true, we find morally reprehensible (as well as illegal), putting the entire tour in harm’s way.”

This could open some nasty floodgates if it is successful.

I am a realist about movies and tv too. The most accurate display of the ‘superhero’ shows was the Batman tv series: an absurd comedy with crazy makeup and costumes, along with “Pow!, crash!, thud!”
dint they demand attendees wear the face diaper???
Gene Simmons was a NAZI during COvid so he is pretty much a NAZI now.
Just a slight update…
Alice Cooper is hardly demonic.

I never lost my individuality at a concert. The same holds true for vast numbers of other people I know.
I don’t doubt that the Smoke of Satan can and is at many live shows. However, I’d argue the same is true in movie theaters, conference rooms, TV, the internet, Congressional hearings, court rooms, living rooms, restaurants, and possibly even houses of worship.
Your mileage may vary.
**Alice Cooper is hardly demonic.**
I realize he has chosen to live for the Lord. But real conversion changes everthing. It may happen fast with some things, and not so fast with others. The Bible says “old things a passed away, and behold, all things become new”.
Surely he doesn’t still sing ‘I love the dead’, or do the fake hanging stunt.
I had the billion dollar babies album. Fall of 1982 I burned it with the dozen or so other albums that I felt were not fit to be in a Christian home.
My wife and I were born again the Bible way. Our lives changed. We looked everything differently. We were happier (and 41 years later still are).
My individuality comment was to point out that people become part of a fan base of a celebrity, or of celebrities; elevating flawed humans to god-like status.
That’s great that you have never gotten to the point of being a groupie of a ‘star’, but many have, and to their detriment.
I remember as a 10 year old seeing the evening news show screaming teen girls, and some passing out, while at the Beatles Shea stadium concert. I remember thinking, ‘stupid girls’. There are a lot of pics, here one.

I remember back in 74 a female friend excitedly tell me that she got the meet the Beach Boys. She was shallow before that though, messing with drugs and getting drunk.
She's hoping for a quick payoff just to go away.
But Gene Simmons doesn't do those either.
Anyone’s soul is more valuable than a rock band.
I am glad you found what works for you. I wish you nothing but peace and prosperity.
My point, is that the devil lurks everywhere. The souls at a rock concert may be more open to Satan’s call vs other places. I don’t believe that, and frankly I suspect the road to ruin is more easily accessed at bars or similar venues.
But, again, this isn’t about me being “right.” Some souls find salvation away from rock concerts while others can make that work.
What matters, is reaching Heaven.
Have a blessed evening, FRiend.
**My point, is that the devil lurks everywhere.**
Absolutely! As the apostle John said to believers in his first epistle: “And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.” 1 John 5:19
What matters, is reaching Heaven.
Amen. To borrow from an advertisement: “There is no substitute.”
**Have a blessed evening, FRiend.**
You as well, FRiend!
Alice will be welcomed by God.
