THE FAMILY OF a Kiss guitar tech — who died while quarantining in 2021 after contracting Covid during the band’s End of the Road World Tour — is suing for wrongful death, according to a lawsuit reviewed by Rolling Stone.
Catherine Stueber, whose husband Fran had served as guitar tech for Paul Stanley for decades, filed the suit in Los Angeles on Wednesday along with several members of her family, claiming both negligence and wrongful death. Kiss founding members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, their longtime manager Doc McGhee, the tour’s promoter Live Nation, and hotel chain Marriott International were all named as defendants.
…
The suit comes nearly two years after a Rolling Stone investigation detailed claims from several Kiss roadies who said that allegedly lax Covid protocols contributed to Stueber’s death. Several of those allegations from the story are included in the filing. The roadies said that the band didn’t regularly test the crew ...
…
The band, however, refuted to Rolling Stone that the tour used safety protocols “that met, but most often exceeded, federal, state, and local guidelines. But ultimately this is still a global pandemic and there is simply no foolproof way to tour without some element of risk.”
Further, the band said at the time that some crew members hid when they were sick rather than coming forward to test, and that some crew members provided fake vaccine cards. “We are now aware there were crew members who attempted to conceal signs of illness, and when it was discovered, refused medical attention… Furthermore, it has recently been brought to our attention that certain crew members may have provided fake vaccination cards which, if true, we find morally reprehensible (as well as illegal), putting the entire tour in harm’s way.”

If Fran Stueber was vaccinated what did it matter if other members had fake vaccination cards? Oh, right because the vaccine doesn’t work.
But then, fake vaccination cards also don’t matter for a different reason!
If he would have used Ivermectin he would still be alive.
What a joke! Even with all the evidence that Covid safety protocols are useless, someone pulls this. this could expose the truth.
The widow should lose this lawsuit but will probably win because you know...the covid thing.
I like the music, the musicians, not so much.
She’s get something from Simons..and maybe that’s all she wants.
Who’s to say he didn’t catch covid from his wife? Maybe the “home protocol” was lax.
KISS has deep pockets, they’ll settle with an NDA
Was he vaxxed? Could explain it.
A large proportion of people with health problems died prior to the vaccine. After the vaccine was out and people chose or were mandated to get it, these were the people who, authorities claim, were effectively immune to COVID, with non-vaccinated people seemingly overwhelmingly dying of COVID, from that point onward.
I don’t really believe the numbers, for a large variety of reasons, but our most esteemed government was telling everyone you won’t risk death, if you got the vaccine each time.
Of course, the vaccine claims of effectiveness were wrong, as for many months, celebrities and doctors believed the vaccines would stop infection, then they got on the more “right” page that it would merely reduce the seriousness of infection.
Anyone with the vaccine series should have felt just about fully immune, with a mask. Doctors and nurses themselves were around COVID-positive patients all the time, and we don’t hear of a disproportionate number of doctors having died.
Simmons called the unvaccinated the enemy and took the Pfizer jab a few times. Wrong as this is, he’s no business dummy and I wouldn’t want to ever cross him, but, I’m sure the widow will win. Fauci will be the first in line to testify.
**I wouldn’t want to go up against Gene Simmons in a business or legal matter. He may be a terrible human being and a leftist troll, but he’s an evil business genius.**
Back around 71 (I was 17 that year) my dad mounted a radio on the main workhorse farm tractor. He did that to be able listen to the farm market reports. He would have his watch on, and stop the tractor, idle it down so he could hear it good, then turn it off, power up and keep working.
When I was driving it I would crank up the volume and listen to music (usually WLS). I became selective, and developed a liking for rock that wasn’t theatrical and/or downright demonic. I chose to live in reality, including the music I listened to. I found girls and guys that were bonkers over a band or muscian to be shallow thinkers.
That’s why I only attended one concert: to confirm that those were places where the individual would lose his/her individuality.
When Kiss hit it big I saw the same simple mindedness, but more demonic than Alice Cooper. Friends would say, “ It’s only an act, don’t take it so serious”.
Well, there’s plenty that did, and the degradation that followed in their lives can be recalled by many.
The fact that they let their logo ‘Kiss’ with nazi style ‘ss’ continue for several years is demonic in itself.
Friends would say, “ It’s only an act, don’t take it so serious”

I heard that a lot myself.
I liked the melodies, the music
but the lyrics and the whole
” evil is cool “ rock theme
I knew and saw in my friends
had a fatal effect.
Gene Simmons is anything but a “leftist.” He’s pretttly right wing, born in Israel.
He’s a self-absorbed a-hole sometimes, but his politics are pretty good.
lol - lighten up Francis.
You sound like you throw garlic at Vincent Price movies.
I just wish I could get back the few seconds it took to read your post.
He was 52 and vaxxed..
