CINCINNATI, Thursday, Nov. 5.

A dispatch from Knoxville, dated the 4th inst., says:

East Tennessee is once more clear of rebels, with the exception of guerrillas, who hover around our wagon trains and infest our mail routes above.

The fight at Roan Springs resulted in the rout of the rebels. We lost 17 killed and 52 wounded.

Col. GARRARD pursued the rebels beyond Kingsport.

The situation is satisfactory, the weather is fine, and the troops are in good spirits.

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Major FITZGIBBON, of the Fourteenth Michigan cavalry, with 120 men, met at Lawrence, being fifty miles beyond Columbia, the combined forces of COOK, KIRK, WILLIAMS and SCOTT, numbering 400 rebel cavalry, yesterday, and after four very desperate charges, resulting in a loss to the rebels of eight killed, seven wounded and twenty-four prisoners, the rebels retreated.

None on the Federal side were killed. Three were wounded.

Maj. FITZGIBBON had a horse killed under him.

Among the rebel prisoners are one Captain and two Lieutenants.

A fleet of boats arrived here yesterday.

There is eight feet of water in the river on the shoals.
