A grandmother from New Mexico was shot dead by a Los Cruces police officer who fired upon her as she attempted to speed away in her car, shocking newly-released footage shows.
Teresa Gomez, 45, was killed by officer Felipe Hernandez, an eight year veteran with the force in the early hours of the morning on October 3rd, just before 5am.
The cop had been speaking with Gomez who had parked her car at a housing complex with her friend, identified as Julio Garcia.
Hernandez seemingly recognized Garcia from other encounters and appeared to be aware that had been previously was barred from the premises. He began accusing him of trespass and violating a judge's order.
In nine minutes of bodycam footage, Gomez can then be heard being addressed by the officer as he tried to establish her reason for being at the housing complex.
Throughout the interaction the officer can be heard using aggressive language, including profanities, and threatens to 'tase' her and make her life 'a living hell' if she didn't comply with his investigation.
Gomez explained that she was searching for her lost car keys and noted how she was looking for someone at the location.
The officer began to question their presence outside the public housing complex, claiming her passenger was not supposed to be there.

Because many people have lost respect for authority, cops, judges, politicians, etc...Due to many being corrupt, have no business being cops, are poorly trained and just lack common sense discretion. From the street cops to their supervisors.
Btw, it unfortunately can also end badly for the cops as well and often does.
Duh. Stop when the cop tells you to.
Sure if she had kids at 18.
Sounds like gangsters got shot.
Yes, it does.
Forty-five isn't exactly an old lady.
Not a death penalty offense.
IMHO, lets see her police rap sheet, she may have been up too no good.
add automatic charge of attempted murder every time someone kicks someone when they are on the ground and a LOT of problems could be solved!
“45 is a bit young for a grandmother !”
Could have a 22-year-old child with a newborn. Mommy and Grandma could have gotten through college.
Now, 45 is a bit young for a GREAT-Grandmother, but I’m sure it happens.
I have two words for the DM: Helen Holland.
Any news on what’s going to happen to the motorcycle cop who killed her while escorting the Duchess of Edinburgh.
Just curious cuz it has been five months...
So? People don’t refer to 45 year old women as grandmothers .
Being deliberately obtuse today ?
Was she in the car engaged in grandmotherly activities or engaged in cougarly activities?
Murder one.
I have seen enough video of cops repeatedly and forcefully beating cuffed immobilized citizens laying face down while the police yell stop resisting. Seems like it’s just a method to beat on already controlled suspects. Remove qualified immunity are force police to be bonded/insured. That will make a third party decide if officers are insurable enough to deal with citizens. I am tired of police treating the citizens like enemy combatants and they are the conquering heros.
It’s a fine line dealing with the criminal class and everyday people. When you lose the trust of my 82 year old mother, there might be an issue.
I guess she should have gotten an abortion then. Wonderful logic here on FR…. 20-22 year olds can have children no problem. Add that up and get back with me.
Lots of closet abortion supporters for people under 22 here. Disgusting to see that here.
Video is clear, his life was not in danger yet he shot to include at least one when car was 25 feet away and moving about 10-15 mph away from him.
“ Lots of closet abortion supporters for people under 22 here.”

Yes, I know, they like to refer to themselves as “reasonable” conservatives and “reasonable” religious people.
They no more respect the sanctity of human life than they respect the tenets of their religion.
These same people are fine with female teachers molesting their students and call for male teachers doing the same to get locked up and throw away the key. And they delude themselves that they’re moral.
