Hooray for Standard Time! Now I can get up with the sun.
It looks like the Davos-Chamber of Commerce types want a consistent year round time namely the clock forward 365 days a year.
See it as better for business later in the day.
Peter Hitchens writes about this notion being pushed a lot and his objections see a downside to it.
For instance clock forward in wintertime means sunrise after 8am.
Daylight “savings” time was ALWAYS a prank, and should never have been seriously considered. But as for having any measurable effect on anybody’s health, that is a moot point, as the body can change its circadian rhythm over varying lengths of time, not the same for all persons, but rarely lasting more than a week to make up for an hour either way.
Exactly! I love this time of year. DST messes with people's circadian rhythms.
Hooray for Standard Time! Now I can get up with the sun.

I fail to see how DST forced you to stay in bed and not get up.
But if you say this actually happened to you.....
