I love it! It won’t happen because the Republican candidates are such squishes, but it’s a great fantasy.
The only candidate that would confront the moderators like that isn’t going to be there.

They make themselves look weak and stupid showing up to ’debate’ the moderators

There must be some big NBC money for the RNC for the RNC to participate in this propaganda.

They shouldn’t have to be debating the moderators to begin with. They shouldn’t have allowed NBC to host the debate.

Those who participate in these sham debates are enablers of the left. They deserve no respect, no viewers, no credence.

How about this great quote by a REAL American hero from an earlier debate: “Why am I here?”

Are there any GOP candidates, other than Trump, who have the has guts to pose these counter-questions?? There, fixed it and the answer is simply no, which is why these “debates” are so pathetic… every single one just shows more and more why Trump will and should be the nominee… and how ludicrously out of touch and owned by the globalists the establishment Republican Party is.

Dumb article. Moderators ask questions. Not candidates. Very poor reply! Yes, “They ask the questions.”
Moderators also select the questions, select their replies, set the start-and-stop of the replies. Control the staging and control the responses and the microphones and the attitude of EVERYBODY on the stage.
Moderators set the tone for THEIR OWN QUESTIONS. And FOR THEIR REPLIES to their own questions. Moderators set the tone and the attitude (by their very presence and their body language) for the accuracy of the replies.
By ignoring stories, by ignoring democrat failures and democrat and GROPElite lies and exaggerations occurring off the stage, moderators set the entire debate.
Simply by demanding the NBC moderators get faced with these questions - and we all know the democrat party moderators will ignore and deflect the truth of these questions - the bottom root prejudices of the democrat party's national press corpse can begin to be exposed.

I wouldn’t ever allow ANY GOP candidate on a “debate stage” until all questions were limited to a single sentence with no predicate and a certain number of words? Dunno what that is, 15, 20. But you should NOT be allowed to “frame” a question.

Bravo! Your #38 wins the thread!
Unfortunately for the nation, even if the R candidates who will attend the debate are following this thread, they will remain committed to the anti-MAGA game plan. Trump's VP selection will obviously have to be found elsewhere.

The more succinct question is “does NBC believe, as does the NY Times, that modern journalism should eschew objectivism to advance social justice objectives”?

One thing that modern journalism does not eschew is obfuscation.
