On Monday, McConnell and Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova made a joint appearance at the center that bears the Kentucky Senator’s name at the University of Louisville in an effort to drum up (or feign) some grassroots support for the war cause.
Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, however, told TAC in a phone interview that McConnell’s maneuvering for Ukraine is “very unpopular in Kentucky”: “Spontaneously, people come up to me no matter which part of the state I’m in,” to say they’ve had enough of endless wars, Paul said.
“If I’m in eastern Kentucky, they come up to me and say, ‘we’ve got problems here at home,’” Paul continued. “We also have a lot of poverty in eastern Kentucky, and they just don’t like sending money overseas, even to countries that like us or that we’re allied with. If we send it, they want it to be paid for. They want to take it away from a wasteful part of the government—and believe me, they are like me in believing there’s a lot of waste. Having a speaker come to a McConnell-funded speech at U of L really doesn’t indicate any kind of grassroots support from Kentucky. I find no support for lumping them all together. I’ve had no one come up to me saying please, please, please give another 50 or 60 billion to Ukraine. I don’t find it at all. So I think the position is out of touch and doesn’t represent conservatives in Kentucky at all.”
That wasn’t going to stop McConnell from trying. It is “an especially critical moment in the history of our two countries,” McConnell said in his remarks introducing the ambassador.

They're calling McConnell "THE UNDERMINER":
"Mitch McConnell already undermined one Speaker of the House with his insistence on funding Ukraine. Senate Republicans speak out against his designs to make it two."

‘He’s Bluffing!’ Rand Paul Tells Fox There’s No Chance Biden Vetoes Israel Aid Bill
Republican Senator Rand Paul told Fox News host Brian Kilmeade that President Joe Biden is “bluffing” with a threat to veto the GOP’s effort to separate out aid to Israel.
“You really think he’s going to stand up in front of the world and say, oh, we’re not sending aid to Israel,” asked Paul rhetorically on Wednesday’s Fox and Friends.
Kilmeade brought up the subject of the Republican effort to separate out funding for Israel from a larger spending package the Democrats prefer, which would tie the money to funds for Ukraine and other spending. Biden has threatened to veto any such bill that reached his desk.
“You know, I think President Biden’s bluffing,” said Paul. “I don’t think he’ll veto aid to Israel. You really think he’s going to stand up in front of the world and say, oh, we’re not sending aid to Israel just because it’s paid for?”
When Kilmeade asked whether the GOP was looking to make each item in the Democrat spending bill into a separate item, he said that’s not necessarily the case. “Well, I’m not saying that everything will be separate. I think this aid’s going to be separate because I think it is a great deal of agreement,” he said.
Ukraine has been a money laundering conduit for the DNC/Communist party that began with Obamatollah - PedoJoe was his bagman
Cocaine Mitch continues pushing funding this money laundering kickback tool for leftists including leftwing socialists (RINOs) embedded in the GOP
And that dingbat ambassador went immediately to Godwin’s Law with her idiotic “new Hitler” remark. Apparently some jackass on McConnell’s staff was setting up the teleprompter and mistakenly uploaded the text of a speech she was supposed to give at an event hosted by Chuck Schumer in New York City.
No question.
Cutting off military aid to Ukraine will be seen as the US abandoning yet another country it once supported, and will open up Europe for a still bigger war - Russia taking the Baltics and engaging Poland.
That’s Europe’s problem not ours. If Europe is concerned they can fund the war.
Plus this:
“The funds for border security, Senator Rick Scott of Florida told The American Conservative, “are not really for border security. It’s money for sanctuary cities.”
That’s Europe’s problem not ours. If Europe is concerned they can fund the war.

right: Headline - US Abandons NATO! Russia Rejoices as it takes all of Europe. US Seen as weakest nation on Earth.
Russia is in a stalemate in Ukraine. They aren’t going to expand to fight NATO.
You, however, are free to go be a merc in Ukraine.
If Europe can’t protect themselves that’s their problem.
ROTFLOL
——the dingbat Ukranian ambassador spouted her idiotic “new Hitler” remark.......b/c some jackass
on McConnell’s staff uploaded a speech she was supposed to give at a Chuck Schumer event..........
What could the people of Kentucky do with $60 billion dollars?llion
If Russia were to conquer Europe, it would only happen because Europe didn’t have any interest in resisting.
Hey Mitch! I didn’t know you were on FR.
Why is McConnell still the minority Senate leader? Can anyone please explain?
US Seen as weakest nation on Earth.
it already is. look at the weakling we have in the white hut.
AHAHAHAAHAA kicking Miotch while he’s down.
Because apparently there is no Matt Gaetz counterpart in the Senate; from what I have seen so far in my 70+ years on this Earth, the only thing a US Senator can do is make speeches.
Except, of course, for Ted Kennedy, who introduced immigration legislation intended to destroy America. It's really starting to work right now.
