PHOENIX -- The Texas Rangers spent seven months of this season terrorizing opponents with a menacing offense that feasted on home runs and hardly ever let up. The first night of November showcased the other aspects that make them dominant -- gritty starting pitching, sound defense and a lineup versatile enough to manufacture runs when needed.

It sealed them a title.

Not if true.

Woodward was the manager. A coach named Crabbe next to him.

Joey Gallo not kneeling.

That’s one of the main reasons I was rooting for the Texas Rangers to take it all this year! They appeared to be the most non-woke team in all of MLB.

There was NO Bud Light in their club house after their win tonight, by the way. Every MLB celebration I’ve seen in the past always had Budweiser, Korbel sparkling wine and Bud Light.

Congratulations to the Texas Rangers!! Well-deserved World Series win! They seem like a decent bunch of guys as well.

DFW finally joins the cities with all four champions:

(Only Super Bowls count for NFL, otherwise I would include Detroit)

New York: Yankees/Mets, Rangers, Knicks, Giants/Jets
Boston: Celtics, Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins
Washington: Redskins, Capitals, Nationals, Bullets
Philadelphia: Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, Sixers
Dallas/Ft Worth: Cowboys, Rangers, Stars, Mavericks

A little payback for Cory Seager helping to beat the Cheatros. He was on the 2017 Dodgers team that the Cheatros won 4 games to 3 in part by stealing signs with a video system.

The Phillies really blew it

The Braves had the best record in baseball this year and THEY really blew it. Ever since they clinched, they played like it was a given that they win the series.

Phillies? They pretty much always do this...remember 1964?

The Rangers were the only MLB team to say NO to the Rainbow mafia. That gave me a reason to watch and root for the Rangers. They are a great team and they will continue to win for years.

Low ratings? Probably. The TV suits try to arrange an east coast team - west coast team event for the ratings. Same for the Super Bowl. If the Cowboys were to play the Texans in the Super Bowl it would probably get the lowest TV ratings ever.

And not a small part of that dis-interest is petty ideas or predjudices. People who hate the South in general or Texas in particular would boycott the broadcast.

I’m a Cardinals fan who was rooting for the Rangers after they lost that heartbreaking 2011 World Series their last time there. Good to see them get their first one.

The Rangers never disrespected the flag/national anthem that I am aware of. I don’t think that’s them.

Take a look at the names and numbers. It's the Rangers.

With the Washington Senators/Texas Rangers franchise (1960) having won it’s first championship, the oldest in the four major professional leagues to have yet won their first championship are:

NHL: Buffalo Sabres and Vancouver Canucks (both entered league in 1970). The Sabres appeared in the 1975 (Fog Game against Philadelphia Flyers) and 1999 (controversial goal from Dallas) Stanley Cup Finals, while the Canucks made the Finals in 1982 (against NY Islanders), 1994 (end of NY Rangers 1940 drought), and 2011 (end of Boston Bruins 1972 drought).

NFL: Minnesota Vikings (entered league in 1961, Super Bowl appearances in 1970, 1973, 1974, and 1976). Atlanta Falcons (entered league in 1965, Super Bowl appearances in 1999 and 2017). Cincinnati Bengals (entered league in 1968, Super Bowl appearances in 1982, 1989, and 2022).

NBA: With Denver Nuggets (established 1967 in the ABA) winning their first championship this June, it is now the Phoenix Suns that are the oldest franchise to have yet won a championship, having entered the league in 1968 and making Finals appearances in 1976, 1993, and 2021. The Buffalo Braves/San Diego later Los Angeles Clippers franchise entered the NBA in 1970 and have yet to appear in a NBA Finals series.

MLB: The oldest MLB teams to have yet won a World Series are the San Diego Padres (WS appearances in 1984 and 1998) and the Seattle Pilots/Milwaukee Brewers (WS appearance in 1982) . Both of these teams began play in 1969. The Seattle Mariners are fairly close with having started MLB play in 1977 and have yet to appear in a World Series.
