Anyone else notice that, since we started letting politicians set the Rule of Engagement in wars (e.g., Viet Nam) we have lost every one of them? Leaders in the military know that you fight a war to win as quickly as possible and collateral damage is part of a quick win that saves lives on both sides in the long run. Let the military set the ROE, keep the politicians out of it, and this mess will be over in less than a week.

Biden is just responding to our allies who are concerned about making the humanitarian disaster even worse than it already is. Much of the world is against Israel in this so Biden has to show concern for civilian casualties or alienate countries like Saudi Arabia. As it is most of the deaths are civilians because Hamas is hiding in their extensive tunnel system.
