VinFast Auto is considering a fifth vehicle for its planned U.S. dealership network: the VF 3 minicar that's specifically designed for the Vietnamese market but could have potential as a sub-$20,000 city car for budget-minded Americans, company representatives told Automotive News.
(Sorry the article only seems to include the one paragraph)
at 10 cents a KW, to charge a 75KW battery is about $7.50
At my home (in Texas) i have 9.5 cents KW plan from my provider. We have an open electrical market in Texas, thus I pay less than most folks.
These are the FACTs.
Our electric went up- used to be .11 cents- not sure what it is now. Newsmax, not sure which state they were figuring from- likely one of the higher electric price states.
But I do know that IF the left succeed in pushing the nation into “electric only” appliances, machines, vehicles, heating furnaces, coo, stoves etc etc etc that the price of electricty will climb significantly if a tly once they have everyone hooked and dependant on electricity for everything. I will be shocked if they keep the prices where they are today.
If it hits my Ram 1500 head on, I win and walk away. He goes home in a body bag.
Yes, in a Toyota FJ/Ford Bronco-ish way. Have seen a lot of overseas Jeep copies too.
Much of the new EV market doesn’t have at home charging. They live in Condos, or rent, or struggle just to find overnight parking. EVs won’t work.
Looks like the Design keyed off of the new Bronco.
according to this, vf3 is mostly a mystery car, since vinfast has published almost no actual details:
btw, my calculations show that this “cute” car has a wheelbase slightly larger than a 4x8 piece of plywood ... sounds like safe and fun driving!
the cheaper models will appeal to the poor
who most likely live in an apartment
how do they charge them?
right
they will be on battery buses
I don’t believe in forcing anybody to anything.
let the market decide.
That’s what people should say, rather than parroting what is proven to be a lie.
By having cheaper electric cars it will pressure the manufacturers to make less expensive gasoline cars - or else.
Have you noticed how expensive gas cars have gotten recently?
Google “Free car charger near me”
Google will show you lots of options in major cities, where you can charge for FREE.

“If it hits my Ram 1500 head on, I win and walk away. He goes home in a body bag.”
If you drive any vehicle in such a way as to end up in head-on collisions, you’re not going to “win”.
If you’re at fault, you might go to jail.
But I’ve seen a fatal accident where a driver of a similarly sized vehicle (as yours) was smashed like an aluminum can by a semi the killed driver didn’t see coming.
The semi driver was primarily at fault (for running a red light), but the killed driver had gunned it into the intersection to turn left rather than yielding to oncoming traffic. If the killed driver had simply been courteous and driven lawfully, he or she would have lived to see another day.
I like driving larger vehicles because other drivers tend to not cut out in front of me or ride my bumper as much. But I also notice, at least where I live, that drivers of larger vehicles such as pickups tend to drive them like sports cars and expect everyone else to get out of their way. But, as I pointed out, that gets some of them killed.
Rickshaws are the future the elites have planned for us.
Hint—they won’t be pulling the cart, they will be riding on it.

I think there’s a ton of Tuk Tuks in Vietnam too. Those aren’t legal on the roads here either.
