Expel Turkey from NATO if Erdogan does not hand in Hamas terrorists hosted in Turkey By Ezequiel Doiny
On October 25, 2023 Newsmax reported "Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, in his strongest comments yet on the Gaza conflict, said on Wednesday the Palestinian militant group Hamas was not a terrorist organization but a liberation group fighting to protect Palestinian lands...
"Hamas is not a terrorist organization, it is a liberation group, 'mujahideen' waging a battle to protect its lands and people," he told lawmakers from his ruling AK Party, using an Arabic word denoting those who fight for their faith.
"Unlike many of its NATO allies and the European Union, Turkey does not consider Hamas a terrorist organization and hosts members of the group on its territory..."

Expel Turkey from NATO if Erdogan does not hand in Hamas terrorists hosted in Turkey.
You already know Erdogan isn’t about to give them up. Qatar harbors the Hamas leadership and is their biggest financier, and it also happens to be the location of our largest mideast base at Doha. Are we suppose to give that up too? Some of you people need to get a grip sheesh. If we get into a regional war we’ll wind up with no bases and no influence over there whatsoever.
I think the US should self- expell itself.
Note: Turkey is a member of NATO.
Turkey is threatening to send troops to Gaza to support Hamas.
If Israel was to retaliate to Turkish troops siding with Hamas and firing on Israeli troops, would the rest of NATO declare war on Israel?
This is one country that should have been kicked out of NATO a long time ago, when it got rid of its secular government and turned the country into an Islamic dictatorship.
From NATO.
What’s Erdogan’s price to permit US carrier sorties to overfly Turkey on their way to Crimea and eastern Ukraine? Just in case the real reason the Navy is apparently concentrating FOUR carrier strike groups in the eastern Med isn’t really just to “deter” Iran?
Or will we have to depose Mr. Erdogan?
The neocons will never have this kind of firepower that close to Russian forces in Ukraine again. They know NATO is kaput unless Russia can be pushed out of Ukraine with a bloody nose.
Now imagine you’re the battle command for the US Navy, and stumbling Joe has ordered you to surpise-attack Russian forces. The best you can do is form a supergroup of multiple carriers so their protective screens of missile ships and subs overlap. And hope for the best.
Or you could mutiny.
Do we keep nukes of any kind at Incirlik?
Are they sufficiently secured, if yes?
What if Pakistan not only kept Turkey under its nuclear umbrella of protection? What if they kept Paki nukes in Turkey? Does NATO allow a member to have parallel defense treaties with non NATO members? Especially nuclear powers?
“Expel Turkey from NATO if Erdogan does not hand in Hamas terrorists hosted in Turkey”
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has the privilege of determining his country’s fate the same as we do. And they have been continually under attack from their own terrorist problems falling under the Muslim Brotherhood, the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, the PKK.
But the Muslim Brotherhood, like many terrorist groups, has been beneficial to the country it is in. Initially, as a Pan-Islamic, religious, and social movement, it preached Islam in Egypt, taught the illiterate, and set up hospitals and business enterprises. It later advanced into the political arena, aiming to end British colonial control of Egypt. The movement’s self-stated aim is the establishment of a state ruled by sharia law under a caliphate – its most famous slogan is “Islam is the solution”. Charity is a major aspect of its work. Surprisingly, it is currently housed in Cairo and is considered a right wing political group as they hold a number of seats in their parliament.
The two most active organizations that came from the MBH are ISIS-Sinai, a branch of the Islamic State of Iraq and ash-Sham (ISIS).
The countries having political parties attached to the MBH include, but not all, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Tripoli, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestinian Territories, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Yemen. But they are further in than you think in that they established themselves through mosques all over the world to get funding. They are especially well represented in the US. So, if you want to get someone, get them. They have had their finger in the pie since their establishment in the 1920’s.
But the US has not considered them a terrorist group as that would stretch the bounds of the law and also complicate U.S. diplomacy across much of the Middle East and North Africa. Lesser of evils.
So, who do you get first. The line forms every day.

There is no mechanism in the NATO treaty to expel a member.
US out of the UN and NATO.... cease all funds going to either organization... that’s a LOT of $$$$ back to domestic needs.
My recall is that there is a mechanism for expulsion of a country from NATO, and it requires a unanimous vote, with the relevant country having a vote.
YES!! They should NEVER have been allowed in !
Turkey is too big to fail. Especially with all the American military hardware they have.
Is there any means to expel a NATO member involuntarily?
I have to think that there’s a clause whereby members aren’t required to assist a member who unilaterally launches an unprovoked attack on another country.
Erdogan would take over Incirlik AB and personnel would be held as hostages. It’s the Muslim way of doing things.
