The Russian invaders plan to send 10,000 Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions on an “excursion” to Moscow and St Petersburg by the end of the year. The occupiers call this route “cultural enlightenment”.
This was reported by the Office of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets, Censor.NET reports.
It is noted that such plans of the occupiers became known through the monitoring of information Internet channels of the Russian and occupation authorities in the temporarily occupied territories.
Thus, especially for Ukrainian children, the Russians have developed the so-called “Cultural Map 4+85”. As part of it, they have created eight “educational” routes that should introduce children “to the rich cultural heritage of a great country”.
The occupiers have already taken children from the Luhansk and Donetsk regions on their so-called “excursions”. Currently, 300 children from the Zaporizhzhia region are next in line.
The Office noted that regardless of the route, the so-called “cultural” programs for children are similar. In addition to performances, parks and city tours, they are taken to specially created museum exhibitions called “The People’s Feat” and encouraged to participate in military quests.
“Contrary to the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Russian propaganda machine is working non-stop. Having tried various methods of eradicating self-identity and belonging to the Ukrainian people among the Crimean population since 2014, the occupiers are now focusing on Ukrainian children who, together with their parents, have been forced to find themselves under the rule of the Russian aggressor,” Dmytro Lubinets said.
According to him, the occupiers start “patriotic education” of Ukrainian children from preschool age and introduce them to “heroes of the special military operation”.
“Russia continues its violent genocidal policy against Ukraine. More than one generation of Ukrainians is being erased,” the Ombudsman emphasizes.

On the instructions of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak had a phone call with President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola.
Andriy Yermak thanked the European Parliament and Roberta Metsola personally for leadership in supporting Ukraine. The parties discussed the recent approval by the European Parliament of the mandate to establish a €50 billion financial instrument for Ukraine, the Ukraine Facility, as part of the amendments to the EU’s Multiannual Financial Framework for 2021-2027.
“The European Parliament’s decision encourages other partners to keep up the pace in supporting Ukraine and bringing victory closer,” emphasized Andriy Yermak.
The parties also discussed the current situation on the frontline and the importance of protecting Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure, including energy infrastructure, in the face of constant terrorist attacks by Russia.
The Head of the President’s Office and the President of the European Parliament focused on the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula. Andriy Yermak invited the European Parliament to join the third meeting at the level of national security and foreign policy advisors.
“The involvement of the European Parliament in the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula helps expand the circle of those who support it and brings the Global Peace Summit with the participation of the leaders of the Global South closer,” the Head of the Presidential Office noted.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on the security situation in the Middle East and emphasized the importance of efforts to maximize the protection of civilians during hostilities.

Iran has attacked multiple US bases across Iraq and Syria, with fires seen rising from the At Tanf base in southern Syria. One American is confirmed dead from the attack on the Al Asad airbase from yesterday.
A US destroyer also intercepted and shot down incoming missiles in the Red Sea. Israeli forces will be invading the Gaza Strip within the next few hours.
Russian forces have once again taken heavy losses in Kupyansk and Avdiivka as offensive actions have brought catastrophic results to the Russian army. Ukraine is also keeping a small offensive going near Robotyne.

Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, held a meeting on the results of the work of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Moldovan Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Moldova, the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Energy and others.
The meeting reported on the status of implementation of the agreements reached following the meeting of the co-chairs of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Moldovan Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, which took place on 29 September in Odesa.
Currently, the Moldovan side is reviewing a draft Agreement on joint maintenance of power transmission lines and a Memorandum on the introduction of a system of early warning of emergencies on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border.
Proposals to amend the draft Agreement on border crossing points on the Ukrainian-Moldovan state border and simplified passage of citizens were sent to the Moldovan side.
Also, the joint status of the Yampil–Cosăuți border crossing point and the location of its construction on the territory of Ukraine are being discussed with the Moldovan side.
Preparations are underway for a meeting to discuss the development of legislation and joint research methods in the field of sanitary and phytosanitary measures.
“We must accelerate all processes and intensify efforts to implement the agreements reached and establish effective cooperation with the Moldovan side,” the Deputy Prime Minister concluded.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal chaired a meeting on the implementation of educational projects in Ukraine with the participation of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, and the Ministry of Finance.
The Prime Minister heard a report from the Ministry of Education and Science on the start of the school year. This year, an additional 500,000 children who previously studied online have returned to school.
“We have to make sure that they are safe and have all the necessary conditions for learning. So we are actively building shelters and buying buses. Funds have been allocated for this,” said Denys Shmyhal.
Participants in the meeting also discussed expanding opportunities for applicants. In addition to the state order, the introduction of grants for students is being considered.
In order to fulfil the task of the previous meeting, the Ministry of Economy is developing a labour market forecast. This will be used to formulate an up-to-date state order, taking into account the needs of wartime.
Government officials paid particular attention to military education. The Prime Minister stressed that this was a priority for the coming years.
Participants in the meeting also noted the growing demand for vocational and professional education. According to Denys Shmyhal, Ukraine will need such specialists in the future to rebuild the country, so the Government will do everything to facilitate their education.
The meeting was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovyi, and Minister of Finance Sergii Marchenko.

I have read history for most of my life. They have certainly lost conflicts.
It's easier to fight wars of national survivor than it is to wage colonial wars of aggression. Ukraine is a colonial war. It isn't going well and won't end well for Russia.
Ukraine’s counter offensive failed and BOOM! OUT COMES THE NEXT ROUND OF PROPAGANDA! WINNING! Ukraine is WINNING they scream!
But the Ukraine is still losing, and bleeding. Now the lies about a supposed Ukrainian ‘victory’ are piled miles high, blocking out the sun. NATO will keep heaving the bodies of Ukrainians into the fire until they can’t catch enough to keep the fire going.
It’s been over multiple times...with both sides winning multiple times...as we have been constantly told for two years.

I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video I will tell you what happened on the six hundred third day of the war.
Day 603: Oct 19
Today, there are a lot of interesting updates from the Avdiivka direction.
Here, after several days of an operational pause, Russian forces resumed their offensive effort. Ukrainian fighters reported that the new wave of attacks reached almost the same intensity as during the first day and noted that Russians conduct airstrikes to support their attacks at least 11 times per day. Nonetheless, accumulated losses of equipment and personnel have visibly led to the exhaustion of the Russian offensive capabilities, as each subsequent wave of attacks is notably weaker than the previous ones.
And this is not surprising because, based only on the videos available on social media, Russians lost at least 63 tanks and armored fighting vehicles only on the northern flank of Avdiivka. As you can notice, most of the equipment was destroyed before it even reached the front, indicating that Ukrainian forces targeted Russian columns relentlessly. A fighter from the 24 Assault Brigade reported that the onslaught that Russians have suffered in this region is already incomparable to what we saw in Vuhledar, making one of the biggest Russian defeats.
By the way, Russians already lost the first and only tree line in front of Krasnohorivka that they initially managed to capture in the aftermath of this extensive mechanized assault because today’s geolocated footage revealed that Russian forces were destroyed right in front of it. The Russian assault unit, consisting of 4 tanks and 4 armored fighting vehicles, tried to cross the field and attack Ukrainian positions.
Unfortunately for Russians, the third vehicle in the column got on a mine in the tree line, immobilizing the rest of the column and making it a perfect target for artillery. The first 2 vehicles that did not notice that they were left alone and continued the movement were destroyed, never reaching the next tree line.
It is important to note that the fact that Russians lost control over this tree line does not mean that Ukrainians regained it. A Russian soldier from Avdiivka explained this situation and said that when Russians initially established control over the trenches and fortification in this tree line, Ukrainians shelled it intensely with artillery and tanks to the point where all trenches disappeared.
He said that this approach expanded the grey zone between the two sides and undermined the Russian offensive significantly because, as we saw in today’s video, now Russian assault units have to cross 2 fields in one go, giving Ukrainians more time to destroy them.
On top of that, recently released footage showed operations of Ukrainian mine-laying drones, which were produced on the basis of simple radio-controlled cars. These drones are deploying anti-tank mines not only as close to Russian positions as possible but also on the trails made by the Russian tanks to ensure that if the next assault unit tries to use the safe and tested route, it will for sure get on a mine. Such a specific use allows Ukrainians to respond to new developments as they unfold and bring Russians a lot of headaches.
It is important not to forget that Ukrainians also control the Terrikon, which is a 25-meter high artificial mount, which Ukrainians equipped with machine guns and ATGM positions. The ATGM crews have a wonderful view of the field where Russians try to advance and have no problem in targeting and destroying Russian tanks and armored fighting vehicles.
The Russian soldier concluded that the whole offensive is a mistake and is not worth the losses Russians incurred. He complained about insufficient preparation and lack of counterbattery fire. In fact, a Ukrainian soldier reported that each convoy Russians send loses 20 to 30 % of vehicles from artillery fire before they even get to the front. And Russians are hesitant to compensate for this with their aviation because Ukrainians destroyed 5 Russian fighter jets over the last 10 days, including 1 today, and 1 yesterday.
The Chief-in-Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeri Zaluzhnyi visited today the Avdiivka front. He said that he met with the high-level and brigade commanders that are operating in Avdiivka and identified what they need to do to neutralize the Russian offensive efforts and what are the urgent needs of the brigades that are holding defense. After that, Ukrainian fighters showed him the videos on their phones of how they intercepted Russian fighter jets this week.
