Some NFL team might go ahead and give him a small fraction of ownership in lieu of compensation. He’d have absolutely zero say in how the team is run, and his stake would be tied to whatever decisions the majority owner of the team makes. He’d be a fool to take that instead of cash that he can invest on his own.
But,I don’t want to be a slave.....
Never heard of THAT one before.
It’s A Bold Strategy Cotton, Lets See If It Pays Off For Em
Good for him.
I’m holding out for partial ownership of any team I root for.
It’s been taking a while to work that out.
Sure beats one of those “reparations” checks for chumps, right Caleb?!
I’d trade the #1 pick for offensive linemen. Then put a water boy in at QB.
Williams has excelled against bad defenses this season but struggled against a very good one. he’s not that good. Once NFL DC’s figure him out he’ll be thrown to the trash heap like all the other overhyped ones...
Drama Queen gotta drama.
I will laugh if he goes UNDRAFTED by anybody....................
The UAW should take note. Being ignorant they can’t
Profits are owned by stockholders not the commodity hired hands
At least to your own receivers.
In my humble opinion, the NFL game is won in the trenches. You get your offensive and defensive lines first, then you get your quarterback...
As a supporter of the college team he transferred away from in a not necessarily gracious sort of way, let one offer a small insight.
Caleb seems like an alright young man, but he has an overbearing old man pushing him in all his affairs. It seems that USC had a QB back in the 90s or so with the same problem. Can’t recall the name though.
If I was an owner, the only chance you’d get at partial ownership would be completely performance based. I would offer 1% ownership for every superbowl he wins (he has to start and complete the superbowl and get the victory) and another 1% for every 10 victories he gets the team (again he has to start and take majority of snaps in each victory).
About 12 years and 12 superbowls later, he would have a chance for about 32% of the team.
There’s NO WAY any owner would give up shares in the team for someone who hasn’t even played at the pro level.
Guaranteed money is already wrecking the NFL (although don't forget their kneeling / pro-rioting / BLM racist BS). This clown will probably not wind up in Cleveland though, that's new. ;^)
Rush three and drop eight, is what many are saying.
And when they trade his butt?
Somehow I think the NFL will want to stop this before it starts.
(Even a retired Tom Brady hasn’t got the chunk of a team yet that he’s been eyeing.)
Never heard of this arrogant guy. This is among the reasons I have no TV and watch no professional football. Outrageous egos and ridiculous amounts of money supported by taxpayers funding their sporting venues.
