Using Greenland as a base, it wouldn’t have been too difficult for them to navigate themselves to Newfoundland.
Is there nothing Vikings could not do???
And I remind you that these white boys (and gals) were not any kind of that gay, trans and “indigenous” jive we are plagued by today.
VIKINGS SCORE AGAIN! Just like in the many recent Vikings movies and TV series we have of them today. My favorite was on the History Channel -— 6 seasons of it.

The timing of this somewhat reinforces the controversial “Kensington Runestone” found in west central Minnesota. It’s a stone with ancient ‘runes’, Viking lettering, with some of the runes dated centuries before the stone was found in the 1800s. It was found entwined in the roots of an old apple tree by local Norwegians. Some believe it is legitimate, others that it is a fake.
It’s a long way from Newfoundland to Minnesota. London is closer. Nevertheless, it’s at least a land route. Going around the St. Laurence Seaway and the Great Lakes, places you first in Minnesota before you hit anything warmer. Others, though, wonder why runes in North America have only been found by Norwegians.
This is not news

When Columbus landed, natives were still using stone. Natives had not got around to inventing the wheel
New research shows the Vikings were in Newfoundland exactly 1,000 years ago.
The Cree waved at them as they neared.
Anyone watching the Vikings on TV knew that many years ago...
