Since you ax, just for starters I think Vlad stepped right into a stinking hsit-pot of a trap when he invaded Ukraine. From our POV, it was the act of a paranoid dictator who could not countenance the prospect of NATO being directly contiguous with Russia. In Vlad's thinking though, he cannot and will not accept the prospect of ANY military alliance bordering up against Russia, especially one that includes... well, you know... those people... the ones who are existentially superior to all other races, from the Russian POV... you know who I mean.

So far as where I'm from, I frankly don't like to disclose my exact locale but I can assure you that I live within an easy day trip of the Army ammunition plant in McAlester, OK. (JimRob has my permission to verify that for you, yes/no should he choose to.)

Guess what's going on at the plant these days? One thing fo sho, making 155 rounds literally by the train load, each day a shipment leaves McAlester and goes directly to Tinker AFB in OKC where it gets quickly loaded into a C-17 and off to Ukraine we go. So again, we're in a de facto state of war with Russia except for when we're not in a declared war with Russia, it just depends on what point you guys wish to assert.

Also you can take note of my signup date and my posting history and give a bit more informed consideration as to whether I'm a Russian troll or not, although I must confess to you that I HAVE seen Leonid and Friends live in concert, TWICE. So there is that, one would suppose but in any case I don't care if I meet your stereotype of a typical Oklahoman. I don't let Joe Biden and Lindsey Graham do my thinking for me.

Why should we care what "Vlad's thinking" is, it doesn't matter, any more than any other mass murdering empire building dictator's.
Such men are pure evil and must be opposed as much as possible because every victory for them makes opposing them the next time that much more difficult and costly in blood and treasure.

What?? Who?? Why is OKSooner afraid to name what he's talking about?
Who should we assume he means?

The fact is that Vlad the Invader's aggressive threats have helped increase the number of NATO countries bordering Russia from one to now six -- Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania & Poland -- with two more if we count Romania and Turkey.

None of this has anything to do with "ones who are existentially superior to all other races" and everything to do with Vlad the Invader's own insane threats, attacks and invasions of his smaller neighbors.
