Our Free Republic Russian propaganda repeaters are loud, proud and intimidating, and there are a lot of them.

But they do not express the majority opinions on Free Republic, I think, much less the majority of all US conservatives, even less of all Republicans or Americans in general.

What I think the vast majority on Free Republic do believe is quite different from our Russian repeater screeds.
We believe:

1. Ukraine was unjustly assaulted by Vlad the Invader and has every right to defend itself, its independence and sovereignty.

2. So long as Ukrainians are willing to resist Vlad's invaders, we should help them, but not with our own troops.

3. Europeans and others should provide most of the aid to Ukraine.

4. There must, must be a plan for victory in Ukraine, and without such a plan, it's utterly useless to dole out aid just to prolong the war.
   Obviously, such plans must be kept secret, but it is pure fraud and malfeasance for government officials to claim they have such plans when, in fact, they are really just brain-dead apparatchiks.
   In due time such officials who promote war-without-winning, should be investigated, tried and punished for their crimes against humanity.

5. At the same time, there must be strict accountability for all weapons given to Ukraine, to be certain they are not corruptly put in the wrong hands or used for the wrong purposes.
   Corruption is a huge issue for American conservatives, even though our own country is sadly far from perfect.
   It must be investigated and prosecuted whenever possible.

Many American conservatives say, "Ukraine is not our business" and that might be true, so far as it goes.
But the constantly growing, threatening, invading and expanding new Russian Empire, now allied with CCP China, North Korea and Iran -- a new Axis of Evil -- that is a matter of most grave concern, and Ukraine is only one theater among several potential.

Of course, none of this matters to our Russian repeater bots, but the rest of us continue to do the best we can.

Most countries at war grant their leaders extraordinary powers for the duration.
Nothing in Ukraine is unusual in this regard.

There are no public polls saying Ukraine's Zelenskyy is not popular enough to be reelected in 2024, or that anybody else might seriously challenge him.
However, of Ukraine's seven presidents since 1991, only one, Leonid Kuchma, was ever reelected, in 1999.
So, it would not be at all unusual for Ukrainians to replace both Zelenskyy and his "Servant of the People" party as majorities in government in 2024.

Here's the real truth about the 1930s Spanish civil war, pay attention: genuine US conservatives had no role on either side, because both sides were leftist socialists dictatorships.
Neither side supported a constitutional republic as we understand the terms.
One side claimed to be more communistic with Soviet support and the other more fascist, but in reality, both were top-down dictatorships that socialized whatever means of production they felt necessary.

In the end the Spanish fascists sent whole divisions to support the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union, so none of these were people American conservatives could support.

As for today, Russia is the fascistic dictatorship in all but name, while Ukraine is a seriously constitutional and democratically elected republic.

There is no valid comparison between Ukraine today and Spain in the 1930s except that in both cases thousands of Americans volunteered to support the anti-fascist side.
In the 1930s Spanish fascists were supported by Nazis and Italian fascists, while today Vlad the Invader's Russian fascists are supported by the CCP, Noko and Iranian communists/fascists.

Bottom line: fascists and communists are simply two sides of the same socialist dictatorship coin and true American constitutional conservatives have nothing to do with either one.

Now, on your articles about corruption in Ukraine, we might notice that all are quite old and do not necessarily reflect realities today, which include a Jewish President Zelenskyy cracking down on alleged Nazis in Ukraine's government.

Also, factually, "corruption", meaning illegal profiting, is normally a lesser category of crime from unprovoked invasion and mass-murder of a foreign country.
You simply cannot logically say: "because some Ukrainians were corrupt, therefore Vlad the Invader was justified in military operations to murder, seize and annex Ukrainian people and territories."

You just cannot logically use Ukraine's alleged corruption to justify Vlad's mass murders there.

Finally, Zelenskyy's popularity with Ukrainians did not come from his over-the-top comedy acts, but rather from his television role acting as Ukraine's president in a series called "Servant of the People".
Ukrainians saw how he acted and liked what they saw, a little like we did with Ronald Reagan years ago.

As for George Washington and other US Founding Fathers, some were in fact more radical than many then or today realized.
For example, many, including Washington, were Freemasons, meaning a secret organization of globalists with ties in many other countries, most notably with Jews in the Netherlands who provided Washington with critical money at a moment of his maximum weakness during the winter of 1776 at Valley Forge.

And many Founders were also Deists or Unitarians, which albeit still Christians, had very different ideas about such theological doctrines as the Trinity.
My point is, by standards of their day, and even by some of ours, they were not 100% socially conservative.

We might also mention the sexual moral standards of such Founders as Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and Gouverneur Morris -- "the rake who wrote the constitution".
What exactly such men did with pianos behind their closed doors we can never know, but we do know they had affairs and fathered babies by not-their-wives.
