Because Hillary was right to try to "reset" relations with Russia? Idiocy

The Russian economy is the size of 1-2 large US states.

Absent climatescam $80/bbl oil-he couldn’t threaten a gnat.

This war is US contrived insanity-

US energy policy is paying for Putin’s side and US tax dollars are paying for Zelenski’s side-it’s insane.

Obama saw oil at over $100/bbl in 2013-guess what?
Putin invades Crimea in 2014-ludicrous.

So when is the mighty economy of the West going to start producing artillery ammunition ?

The Scranton factory ESTIMATED date for their new equipment install is 2026.

That’s longer than the timeline for the Manhattan Project, to produce a fraction of the shells that “gas station” Russia is producing right now.

I’m very skeptical of anything but the currency.

When it was higher at the outset of the invasion-

I posted that he was not only winning but prospering-
he had a working plan to defeat the sanctions etc.....and was called Russian stooge.

Now I suspect, the bills came due and his enablers are sticking it to him. If true, they’ll continue milking him as long as possible.

It is what is-when someone tipped me that his economy is the size of 1 1/2 New Yorks-it’s an eye opening event.

A few reminders: Marioupol- crushed….Soledar- crushed….Bakmut - crushed….
Avidivka - same. Do note Avidivka has been fortified heavily since 2014 ( yes 2014)as that is the linchpin to shelling Donetsk ( since 2014)….think about that.

Avidivka will fall, as will Odessa…and there is nothing the West can do about it.

So when is the mighty economy of the West going to start producing artillery ammunition ?

The U.S. Army said it awarded $1.5 billion in contracts to nine companies in the U.S., Canada, India and Poland to boost global production of 155mm artillery rounds.

Over the last two weeks in September, the service finalized a flurry of contracts that “resourced each major component, material or required production process to maintain momentum for the goal of 80,000 projectiles per month by the fourth quarter of fiscal 2025,” it said in an Oct. 6 statement.

Army officials have recently stated that 155mm artillery munition production will increase to 28,000 per month in October, which is double what the Army was producing at the start of the year. The plan is to build roughly 60,000 a month in FY24, reaching 80,000 by FY25. By FY26, the plan is to build 100,000 a month.

Rheinmetall eyes boost in munitions output, HIMARS production in Germany

The capacity for the production of 155mm artillery rounds can be ramped up to 450,000 to 500,000 per year, he added, which would make Rheinmetall the biggest producer for both kinds of ammunition.

Last night the Russian Federation forces entered the southern outskirts….they are now in one of Vlads infamous cauldrons…soon to be what experts call “ a boiling cauldron”….if Vlad does it right, he can close the three sides and net 4,000 ( some say 8,000) Ukies….stay tuned…the western MSM will not report it in a timely manner.

More waste-of-time posts from yo

No, what's amazing is not Obama and Hillary's stupid idealism that they could work with Putin 24 years ago, its that after Putin's invasion and annexation of Georgia in 2008, invasion and annexation of Crimea in 2014, and the total attempted annihilation of Ukraine in 2022 this author still believes Putin is not a threat.

Someone should ask Godfrey Bloom why Finland, which has treaties with Russia recognizing their borders, was suddenly desperate to join NATO? Neocons? The man is an idiot

You have obsolete, tired old talking points and accusations.

When the Ukraine’s defeat is finally acknowledged, the surviving Ukrainians will sigh with relief and hopefully you will find someone else to post to, on some other subject.

“By FY26, the plan is to build 100,000 a month.”

Exactly. By 2026, longer than the Manhattan Project, they will be able to produce 3000 shells per day. Which is a fraction of what Russia is currently producing right now.

This is what happens when you outsource your economy and rely on “services” and financial manipulation and bullsh!t.

Seriously? If your country is conquered you would "sigh with relief"?

LOL, you said the war would be over after Mariupol fell. As to cauldrons, Bakmut was a cauldron that destroyed Wagner.

Should Russia ever force Odessa to take orders from Moscow that would be a crime against humanity.

Just like Stalin shipped so many Ukrainians out of Ukraine to work camps all over the Soviet Union, today enslaving Ukrainians in their homeland will also be horrible. In the 1930’s to late 1940’s Ukrainians were sent to be worked to death or exiled “for the good of the Soviet Union” under orders from Moscow. Now Putin is deciding what is good for the Russian people and who they are.

Which is a fraction of what Russia is currently producing right now.

Western production of 155mm shells will overtake Russian production in a year. Quality of shells produced is not the same. Russia is depending almost exclusively on unguided contact fused shells vs western more effective proximity fuses.

Army picks Northrop Grumman for proximity fuze with advanced electronic technologies for artillery shells

U.S. Army artillery experts needed advanced proximity fuzes with state-of-the-art electronic technologies for 105- and 155-millimeter artillery shells. They found their solution from Northrop Grumman Corp.

Officials of the Army Contracting Command at Rock Island Arsenal, Ill., announced $533.9 million contract Wednesday to the Northrop Grumman Allegany Ballistics Laboratory in Rocket Center, W.Va., for M782 multi-option fuzes for artillery.

The M782 Multi-Option Artillery Fuze (MOFA) is for high-explosive fragmentation- and burster-type 105- and 155-millimeter artillery projectiles.

The proximity fuze has four functional modes: variable time, time, point detonating, and delay. The fuze contains an electronic timing system that may be set to function from 0.5 to 199.9 seconds in increments of tenths of a second.

Airburst is WW2 technology. The Russians have timer, airburst, impact, delay etc, as well as laser guide which the Pentagon brilliantly axed, and is bringing back.

USA/NATO munitions typically cost 10X the Russian stuff. They should be better.

Since we are talking about announced future plans rather than actual current production, Russia says they will increase Krasnopol production 25 fold. Which would make their laser guided shell production higher than USA/NATO total shell production.

Meanwhile, Raytheon is scrambling to add laser guide to the Excalibur.

https://newatlas.com/military/excalibur-s-gps-laser-guided-artillery-shell-moving-target/

I wonder what the upcharge will be since the current Excalibur is $176,000.

(Note that estimated cost of Krasnopol is $13,500)
