@ggreenwald
On Monday night, Tucker Carlson argued that while all decent people view Hamas' massacre of civilians with revulsion (and only the most marginalized people have praised it), this is not an American war, but an Israeli war.
Ben Shapiro responded here to that argument

Tucker is dead wrong. His reasoning is fatally flawed.
I am america first, just not america only...
His vids get tens of millions of people. That's more "important" than Fox News, or some internet squeakers on FR.
This rationale is completely off-base. U.S. citizens don't automatically maintain a mantle of protection from the U.S. military just because they happen to be in a foreign country at any given time. This is especially true for "dual citizens" who have voluntarily decided to live in another country and maintain citizenship in that country. If you thought you were better off living in Israel, France, China, Brazil, etc. as a citizen of that country, then you should contact your own government if you have any problems with an invasion of mutants.
I suspect you don’t think killing Americans is an act of war when Israel killed 34 Americans onboard the USS Liberty in 1967.
Please cite me one official U.S. (or state) government document or announcement that identifies "Islam" as the subject of a diplomatic or military policy.
we are IN THE WW3 already... it is not us being drawn in. This has been in process for a long time, and the evil doers MUST have full blown genocide before our election cycle is consumated.
We should remove all resources targetted for or in ukraine to other locations that support a WW3 capability... and do not wait.
Prepare for incoming fire ... but that is right on point.
We helped finance this crap and Americans are dead. Not sure how many some cowards think we need to lose before protecting ourselves but it reached the limit for me. Hamas is no different than Isis. Only a fool would cut and run
US energy policy enabled Putin’s invasion.
Should Ukraine be wiped off the map thanks to climatescam?
It’s not our business yet it is entirely contrived by us.
I am as anti war as Trump-the reality is this administration is the proximate cause of both conflicts.
Okay, you jumped all over the thread squealing your sentiments at everyone.
Everyone knows how you feel... like some ranting bish. Feel free to STFU already.
LOL you’re the cowardly scum sucker that is always willing to let OTHERS bleed for you. Go ahead, hop on a plane if you’re so gung ho about America being involved in this. Nothing is stopping you but your own cowardice and hipocracy.
Isn’t the 1st Amendment so awful that someone should have free speech?
Are you a raghead humper?
me too.
As we speak our meddling is going to keep Israel from doing the best thing for Israel.
Thank God you’re not in charge of running like a coward too
If the lives of U.S. citizens in Israel make this "our war," then I hope Shapiro and all his sycophants here are prepared for a scenario where the U.S. government orders Israel to stand down so we can negotiate with Hamas for the release of our citizens.
Over the last few days I've seen a complete logical contradiction in some of the posts on this topic.
1. "Israel should bulldoze Gaza into the sea and/or turn it into glass."
2. "This is a matter of national interest for the U.S. because Hamas has prisoners who are U.S. citizens."
You can’t have it both ways. Either Israel ignores the concerns of other governments about their own citizens and destroys Gaza, or it makes its own actions subject to the oversight of those governments (namely ours).
Hamas has declared war on America and killed our citizens.

We’ve been fighting people like this directly since 9-11 (and indirectly through our support of secular regimes in the Middle-East since before that.). The strategy for dealing with radicalism is to not let them in our country AND to kill them only when it’s very convenient. If we want to sell other people ammo to kill them, then fine. But invading other countries and putting our own people in harms way (or just giving away weapons and munitions for free should be a no-go). This is not putting America First.
Because your demented opinion is better than those you look down on
*** Just demand an explanation for the USS Liberty.***
That was settled years ago. No one brings up the USS Panay or the USS Ruben James, but so many still stir the old s#it of the USS Liberty making it stink again.
