The Eurotrashes give themselves way too much credit for discovering stuff. My Gramma’s tribe has been in North America since the last ice age. They knew it was here and didn’t really need all those Poor, tired, starving, no-talent newbies that Kolumbus started bringing. My Grandpa, William Bradford, did recognize very quickly that Euro socialism was just a bad idea. Somewhere around a third of the population still thinks it will work——while they cash in their food stamps.

There has been too much confusion about the purchase and “Re-Nameing” of Twitter to “X (Formerly known as Twitter)”.
I always referred to messages on Twitter as “Twits”. I find it cumbersome to call them “X (Formerly known as Twitter) Messages”.
I, therefore, offer a simple solution...the letter “X” is “Chi” in the Greek alphabet.
I propose that, from now on, The platform re-named “X” be referred to as “X” (Pronounced “Chi”) and that “X (Formerly known as Twitter) Messages” be pronounced “Chits”. The process of sending such a message should be referred to as “Chitting” or “Giving a Chit”. Receiving a message would be “Taking a Chit” or “Someone is giving me Chit” or “I am on the Chitter taking a Chit”.
Please don’t question the motives of the Gatekeepers.

Interesting. Did I err? Kirby said the “former president” set the expenditure up as “humanitarian purpses” only, and with only “US approved vendors”. Or, did Kirby fib?
I would think if it were Obama who added strings that Kirby would have named him and credited him for the wisdom behind doing so. I did assume Trump.
Also the money is reportedly was moved from Korea to Quatar, according to Kirby.

A powerful US senator who was indicted last month on corruption charges was hit with an additional charge on Thursday — allegedly acting as an unregistered agent of Egypt.
Senator Bob Menendez, 69, who has stepped down “temporarily” as head of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has pleaded not guilty to allegations that he took actions on behalf of Egyptian officials in exchange for bribes. He has defied calls to resign.
A superseding indictment filed by prosecutors on Thursday accused Menendez, his wife, Nadine Menendez, 56, and Wael Hana, an Egyptian-American businessman, of failing to register with the US government under the Foreign Agents Registration Act.
Menendez, a Democrat from New Jersey, is accused of accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes, including gold bars and a Mercedes Benz automobile, between 2018 and 2022 in exchange for using his influence on behalf of the Egyptian government.
According to the indictment, Menendez “took a series of acts on behalf of Egypt, including on behalf of Egyptian military and intelligence officials, and conspired to do so with” his wife and Hana.
